By obscure i mean: What game(s) do you own or have that no one you know has ever played. For me it was Indigo Prophecy and Breath Of Fire III.

My mates and I are the only people I know who have played Vagrant Story. Did anyone else?

We used to love Hogs of War too. I think we were pretty much on our own on that one as well.

Yes, my #2 best game of all-time.
OT: Hmm...
I play mostly mainstream stuff.
No idea.

to the first 4 posts, yes, yes, yes, yes. played and own Indigo Prophecy, Vampire Rain, and Vagrant Story.

most obscure game i've ever played? not sure of the name, you play an alien on rollerblades or something, you run around and like..i dunno for sure..complete objectives before rival aliens ((played by AI)) by abducting people and using their character model as a disguise to not get attacked....i wish i could remember the name of it..

Legend of the mystical Ninja for the SNES, if you can call that obscure. I don't play many extremely obscure games but stuff that seems obscure to those not really into gaming.

I played the original SaGa Frontier.

Open ended RPG gameplay before it was cool.

Customize your move list to focus on swords, fists, guns, magic, or even shapeshifting monsters, enemies that scale with you, and 7 different characters with their own unique story-lines that cross.

Shadow Gunner on PS1. That was pretty obscure. I've only ever seen the copy I have in my possession. That game could be damn hard at times, frustrating, but a feth load of fun.

If anyone else has ever even heard of it I'll be amazed.

Steel Lancer Arena International on PS2... I remember having an online community of about a dozen people. Best mech game and/or third-person shooter I've ever played. Such a shame it didn't catch on.

No.

Everyone in the gaming circle ever knows about Psychonauts. The Worms games are very mainstream. maybe not as much nowadays but they are still very widely known of.

The word obscure has more than one specific meaning.

Hmmm, I have played mostly mainstream games, but the one game from my youth that I loved that none of my gamer friends played/remembered was Shadowgate (I am pretty certain that was the name) for the NES. It was essentially a predecessor of Myst.

I can't really say I play many obscure games, but I suppose I would have to go with Trapt (also known as Kagero II: Dark Illusion) for the PS2.

Good game, still play it even now.
