What's the most obscure game you've played?

Batman. For the NES. It was a fantastic, graphically amazing game(though with a purple dark knight) for the NES, at least.
Heh, it was! People always say that Arkham Asylum is the only good game Batman ever made but I have a lot of great memories of his NES outing.

For myself, I'd probably say The Path, but I suspect most people here know about it. We're a little pretentious, us escapists.
"pretentious"? Did you happen to be on last night and this morning in the off topic forum? haha, good times.

Anyway, the 20 year difference is probably what's getting people.

I was a bit yea. Spent my time being blasted for being a shameless music snob. You know, the norm.

I've got to say it.

ObsCure.
It was a pretty decent survival horror.

Does anyone remember Carvup on the Amiga? I used to love that game.

Other Amiga favs included Super Frog, James Pond: Robocod and Bart Simpson: Attack of the Space Mutants. I don't know many people who played these games.

Awesome.

The Nomad Soul is probably the most obscure one I own. An SF action adventure with weird Frenchness and David Bowie. Very immersive, despite big technical problems such as horrid controls.

I guess I'm pretty mainstream all in all (though not MW mainstream).

No wait. I Was An Atomic Mutant. ^__^ Arcade game where you are a building-sized monster (such as an alien floating brain or a gigantic woman), and you score points by stomping on things and blowing things up.

I'd count Archimedean Dynasty, an ancient underwater shooter in the vein of Privateer, but that one's missing, and presumed lost. I loved that game, but it's probably unplayable now. Driver problems up the wazoo, probably.

I own Sacrifice, and I actually think that one's pretty well known.

What about the "Obscure" series of survival-horror games?

Also: Mad Dog McCree (PC), Jumping Flash! (PSX), Burn:Cycle (PC), Deja Vu (NES), and Nightshadow (NES)

All my friends are gamers, but none of them seem to have heard of any of my favourite games...
Grim Fandango, Monkey Island series, Simon the Sorceror series, We ¢¾ Katamari, Thief: Deadly Shadows, Runaway series - i know Monkey Island isn't *particularly* obscure now, what with the new one, but a few years ago it was different. Also, the Katamari series is *very* obscure :p

Captain Blood(1988 made by Exxos (ERE informatique), good game for its day.

Had above average graphics & sound and interesting but difficult game-play. The limited time you had to find clones made winning more luck based then anything.

Conversing with aliens with the "universal translator" was real treat and kinda believable since aliens probably won't speak English. And each alien encounter was pretty unique.

Poy Poy is probably the most obscure game I've played, not counting anything for the neo-geo pocket color (Poy Poy is a PS1 game).

What in the name...
I second the 'what in the name', I am however curious about the full version and how the old lady dies - does she just keel over?

OT: I guess I'm going to have to go with The Path.

SPQR: The Empire's Darkest Hour for PC. It's the most obscure one I can think about. Bought it in a drugstore for a dollar. And considering it was only a dollar, it was a good game. My one issues was that Rome was completely deserted. It made the enviroment very creepy.

Sun Age.

It's obscure for a good reason.
Let us hope that it never gets an age in the sun.

Anyone ever played Roadrash on the N64? Thought not.
Also, now that NetHack has become uber-obscure, I suppose I should include my Vulture's Claw habit here.

Jumping Flash! was the first game I bought on PSN. I have fond memories of that one.

I bet R-Type Command counts as obscure, I love the hell out of it.

Also Phalanx on SNES... did anyone else buy it because of the box art's WTF factor with that banjo guy or was it just me?

Aerobiz on the Genesis.. Boring as hell, it should have been a freeware PC game. It was essentially a text base game about establishing an airplane business.
