What's the One Boss You Couldn't Beat in a Video Game?

Nearly every boss in Dead Rising. Let me get this straight, I can beat the Xbox (360 as well) Ninja Gaiden games, but I don't stand a chance in Dead Rising? LAME.

THE HORROR.

I remember that smarmy bastard. I never was able to beat that stupid game because of him.

I miss that game. I should dig out my copy someday.

Ruby and Emerald WEAPONS in FF7, I realized several days after trying it's the reward doesn't equal the work.
Dullahan from Golden Sun The Lost Age, but I mean by not summon rushing him because it's stupid and requires absolutely no skill. The reward is an ultimate summon that is actually worth it to get.
Pretty sure there are others.
Oh yeah It was an extreme chore beating all the Weapons in FFVII but trust me the feeling of accomplishment is like ultra good like defeating I wanna be the guy good.
What about Omega in FF8, and the hardest weapon in any FF? His hit points were somewhere in the millions, and you basically had to be lucky to beat the fucker.
Actually, he's pretty easy. Just make sure you have Squall's final weapon and an item called "Holy War", and just use Lionheart a bunch. Or, like my stepdad Corey said, just use Selphie's The End Limit Break.

I've beat FF7 43 times now. So take it as a grain of salt, from an obsessed fan... but you're a nut. How can you get to the end of such a great game and NOT take advantage of the biggest challenge it offers? Who cares if the reward sucks! (Yes, they do. You're right there.) It's the challenge that matters! That being said, Counter materia is your friend. It stacks, so you can have up to 8 on each character if you felt like leveling that much of it. 9999 damage (Maxed out physical) x8 (Counters) x3 (Characters) = 240k damage every time Ruby hits you. Oh, and Gravity magic (even rank 1) does max damage to Emerald. Enjoy! ;)
If the reward sucks, then what's the point? You don't feel like you're accomplishing anything, just doing it for it's own sake. Sure, you get to say that you managed to do it, but even then, you don't really receive anything of particular value in either ending the game or recieving a feeling of accomplishment. If it's truly the hardest challenge, unless you recieve something super-amazing, there will be nothing but frustration! Which usually sucks all of the fun out of it. It's like an ending that creates so many loose ends you need glue to keep it all together.

That said, I haven't beaten the last boss in metroid Prime 3. Woe is Me.

Yeah but those are the kind of hard bosses that I don't like the ones that are more "Keep spamming with your strongest attacks and hope he doesn't use that one." That's what I had to do to beat him. As for Ruby and Emerald I had to devise a little bit more.
True, Ruby kills two of your characters to begin with, and that, my friend is some weapons grade bullshit.

I can say proudly that I did beat him. The trick was to hit EVERY boost pad on all 3 laps with your accelerator off because that gave you a bigger boost. I don't think I could have beat him in the space station if I didn't unlock T.T. Screw that chicken, T.T. was the best character in that game.

I just think it's hilarious that this boss was as hard as it was given that the game looked like it was designed for little kids. Something for everyone I guess.

I remember renting Mega Man X several times, and even leaving the game on overnight to kill the final boss. I could never kill him. I did finally on the PSP remake, but this was YEARS later, and I don't know if they changed anything. I did find him a little easy.

That bat lady in Devil May Cry 3 (or four, I'm not certain). That said, I played it on the PC with mouse and keyboard, so I had a genuine disadvantage. And I have no idea how to play a fighting game, besides bashing buttons.

Hmm, I'm currently taking a hiatus from trying to beat THE GUY in I Wanna Be The Guy on hard mode. Still, I won't let those 2.5k deaths be for nothing. Someday I'll get him.

That stupid 3 headed dog in DMC 3. Finally had a friend come over and do it for me, I got through the rest of the game just fine.
I couldn't defeat Nevan but managed to finish the rest of the game just fine. Looks like everyone finds a boss they hate in DMC3 land...

Definitely agree with Omega from FF8. Although he only had a million HP even at level 100. Could never finish him off. He had an attack that took off 9998 from at least one of your characters.

Defeated Emerald on first try as I recall, though it was no walk over. Ruby took over a dozen tries but it was worth it(as an accomplishment not for the achievement).

The only bosses I get really stuck on are generally fighting-adventure games. Ninga Gaiden Sigma/2, DMC 1,3,4 and GoW 1 and 2 I all had a real tough time on. (In fact only completed DMC 1, the lazy bugger that I am).

Ultimecia- easy kill with the first half of my party, which I leveled up. I couldn't stand the rest of my party so I didn't feel like grinding them a crapton of levels.
Exactly. I loved FF8, but Ultimecia was just a step too far, especially with the party dregs. In the end I just gave up and watched the ending video that a mate had downloaded (no YouTube in those days, biatches).

Well, the Brawl Boss Chain (or whatever it was called) in Intense really made me angry, took sooo long to pass it, it wasn't really one boss, it was the fact they were all in one go :S

If they let you kill it then how would they force you to play back through half the game with Dante?

Death in Castlevania POR on crazy mode. I had to keep going back and grinding to beat him on NORMAL mode. He keeps getting me with that trick where the four hands grab you, and when he does that, it doesn't really matter what mode you're playing, it's pretty much over. Also Im stuck on Bjorn from Dragon Quest 5, but that was before my daughter learned kasap and my son learned kabuff. I'll try again soon.
...You DO know your partner can break the hands off, right? That and if you use the Ancient Armour, itll only do 10% of your total health.
