I haven't heard about most of these.
You...you haven't heard of Breaking Bad? I envy you. Go and watch it before the next season starts in July. Speaking of which...

Breaking bad should have ended. They are going to ruin it by going on for another 2 series.
Nnnno. They're doing a fifth and final season starting in a couple of months. (Source. [http://www.deadline.com/2011/08/done-amc-sony-tv-reach-deal-for-16-episode-final-season-of-breaking-bad/]) They may break it up into two blocks of eight episodes each, but it's the last season.
I just call that 2 seasons with 1 story arc, I knew about the structure already. It still doesn't change my opinion, there is nowhere the show can go now but downwards.
I won't be satisfied with it as a series until the main character gets his commupence. He went from being very sympathetic to truly evil. I only hope they can do it in a satisfactory manner with only one story arc left.
EDIT
You state they need a greater nemesis than Gus. No. Have him be at the absolute top of his game. Success can test a man's metal as the worthiest adversary (Conan). It is his brother in law, IMHO, that will bring him low.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Even if suddenly all TV turn to complete crap there are still so many great shows to check... In my case that includes:

The Wire
Community
Breaking Bad, Eureka, Mad Men (those I just watched the first episode, they seem quite interesting so far)
etc, etc, etc

As has been said, even if we get just 1% of quality TV, when I'm done with those shows there should be something good that is not cancelled before the end.

Maybe it's not all so bleak after all...

Can anyone tell me if Farscape is any good?

Have any of you seen The Venture Brothers? It's one of the most funny animated series for me, alonside Archer. Do you happen to know if there'll be a 5th season?
yes:

Christopher McCulloch, otherwise known as Jackson Publick, announced on March 22, 2011 that the show had been renewed for seasons 5 and 6, with pre-production to have begun in June 2011.[2] Season five is scheduled to begin airing in early 2013.[3]

also these are fun.(and gory)
we need to talk about tv series, I love Super Jail and all the series you listed, any other recommendations

Sat through Dollhouse and Fringe and that is definitely NOT what i'm looking for.

More TV needs to be like BBCs Sherlock
