Well I guess it's my turn, though I really can't complain compared to some of the horrific stories I've heard here.
I think my year 7 English teacher was the worst teacher I've encountered so far. In one year I didn't learn a single thing about the subject and I gained absolutely no skill whatsoever. Towards the end of the year (the year mostly consisted of arsing around with a diluted media studies course.) she hit us over the head in the form of a test with no prior practice and unsurprisingly I recieved the worst exam mark I got in my entire life (60%). Not only that, she couldn't even indentify the problem! She blamed the length of the witten task which I lost around eight marks on, blatentely ignoring the fact I got an aweful mark in the comprehension. Considering the fact in year 3 I was writing at a year 5 level, this was a massive down turn to say the least. This wasn't even the worst part, the teachers swap classes anually and I just happened to move class in year eight and you can guess who I got. When I moved schools (for unrelated reasons) I swear I learned more in one term than I did in two entire years with *insert name here*.
I have to admit she was a likeable person, not too strict but could control the class yet she just seemed to have mixed priorities.
Who else was bad... I suppose my early nursery teachers to secondary school were pretty mediocre, my reception teachers accused me for "going too fast for the other students" for not using the phonetic alphabet (Not to my face but at a parents evening.)
Oh and most subs, they can't control a class to save thier lives which is pretty ironic considering the best teacher I've ever met was a substitute.
(I believe my first and second story excuses me for any spelling and grammatical mistakes, yes?)

my 8th grade English teacher was an old woman and couldn't hear for sh**. Every day she would send me outside for other people talking. When I tried to object she would threaten me with detention if I didn't comply immediately. I spent most of her class outside waiting for the bell to ring.

Maths teacher. His idea of the right way to teach and treat kids borders on the perverse.

His favourite trick was to give everyone back their homework books and have everyone stand up. Then everyone who scored ten out of ten could sit, then everyone who scored nine out of ten, then eight, then seven and so on. So if, like me, you were not good at maths you ended up standing there, degrading and cringing while he heckled you.

Or he would stick a problem up on the board and drag some poor victim up to work it out in front of the class. And if you did not know how to do it he could not accept that he had failed in his teaching method, and would lambast and attack the poor person who was stuck there, chalk in hand, unable to solve the problem. Apparently verbal abuse meant people would suddenly understand concepts they had not yet grasped.

He was a prick of the highest order and is number one in my personal of list of people that - should I ever see them again - I am going to give a smack in the chops, consequences be damned.

My Accounting Teacher.

She's a stubborn ***** who doesn't know how to teach. She uses only the text book and we learn the stuff off of it by ourselves, and then tests us on stuff that we never covered in it or she claims it is wrong but doesn't tell us. The worst part though is the fact that I currently lost 4% on my mid-term mark because she weighs the test completely randomly. She made a 3 question, 5 mark part that was less then half a page, of the test weight the same as the 25 multiple choice answer and all of the accounts we had to make. I got 2 marks off on it, bringing my mark on it to 60%. Since there are only 2 marks in that category, it took my 90% in it down to a 75% which in turn dropped me from a 81% to a 77% in total.

Apparently my worst teacher was my 2nd grade teacher. I was to young for the memories to stay with me, but apparently she was some kind of super-***** on steriods. My parents aren't going to tell me the stories until I'm 18. o_O

I had a 6th grade science teacher who thought a butterfly larva evolved into the actual butterfly and then into a chrysalis...
Does it make any sense an insect evolving into something that can't move or eat or do anything really?
you're teacher must be a pokemon fan

my old science teachers. This person is so hated in this school that there have been petitions to get her out. 2 examples are that she took huge chunks out of peoples grades because her kid lost a soccer game. And at the end of the year I returned my text book she and i were the only people in the room, i said "here's my book" and she said "okay" and 2 weeks later she said that i owed her 75$ for a new one. My parents yelled that I lost it I refused to submit, they found it at the end of Aug. No apology. and she has a mullet

My eighth grade English teacher. He spent the whole year making us read terrible books and watch even worse movies about growing up and then analyze them. Two years later, I found out that the year before he taught us, he had worked at the high school as an English 11 teacher. Unfortunately, he took almost the entire crappy curriculum from 11th grade and taught it to us in 8th grade. So now I had to read the same books and watch the same movies twice. It was a long year.

My art teacher.

What that ***** did was outrageus.

We were supposed to draw natural beauty or something, and i drew a womans body. Then she started calling me a pervert, and wrote me a 2 ( an F In usa).
The other day i walked into the art room, and i found another class drawing the same assigment, and my picture was putted up as an exaple WITH HER SIGNATURE ON IT. I called her a fucking ***** and went straight to the principal.
The look on her face when she tried explaining it was priceless
Wow, my eyes popped out of my head when I read that. What a horrible hypocritical teacher.

That reminds me of my art teacher through all of elementary(primary) school. She would play favorites to the "popular" kids and would mark off my work for no reason when it was much better than most other people. I find it funny that my middle school art teacher was so much nicer and was actually a good artist. All you had to do in her class was try and you get a near instant 100%. Fun times

My worst teacher was actually a kindergarten teacher who was an absolute douche. He was so evil that other teachers would send bad kids to his class just to punish us. I wasn't even in his class, but I felt sorry for those who were unfortunate enough to end up there. I got sent to his class once and he shouted at me for crying. He even called me a crybaby in front of his class. I hope I see that bastard someday just so I could kick the shit out of him.

Worst teacher I have ever had was in 5th grade. She singled me out because I was fat, then she would mock me in class. At my parent teacher conference told my mother that I was stupid and that I would not amount to anything. She dragged me up in front of the and told everyone that I would be a good for nothing criminal. Then she cleaned out my locker, backpack and desk right in front of the class because she thought that I had brought a gun to school. Because of her I nearly had to repeat the 5th grade. I hate that fucking *****.
Wow, I think you win o_O
Maybe, but my Fourth Grade teacher may win this. She was an a**hole. She called me a failure, punished me for stuff I didn't do, screamed in my ear, said I would never amount to anything, called me an idiot, mocked me, made fun of me, and once made the class teach itself because we were "stressing her out too much". She had even said, she had done this before to other classes. Then, after winter break I changed teachers. Oh, and got her fired from that school. The best part? Her ironic punishment was being fired from there and sent to the Middle School... to teach the (literally) retarded set of Sixth Graders. Fun fact: She played Halo 2 on Live. I so hope I one day meet her on Halo 3. So, do I win on the worst teacher award?
Actually yes, I think the award should go to you

I have Dyslexia and Narcolepsy that was not found out until I was 13, I was labelled "Thick" and a "problem". I regard most of my teachers before year 9 as, if not bad, then incompetent to varying degrees.
However, now teachers have progressed to new, dizzying hights of stupidity. Now, I get treated like I am "special". Woo. Thanks.
Yes maths is like a closed book to me, and yes, my handwriting looks like a spider covered in ink let loose across the page, but I am not someone who needs to have 3 free lessons a week to do "homework" nor do I need to do one less GCSE to do.

So fuck you, teachers who talk down to me, and fuck you people who seem to think that I, or anyone other person with a disability are less than human.

(One more word about my problem, maths teacher, and I will be forced to re-enact "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". Second verse. With you as a staring role.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzsL99OO8_s

My 2nd grade teacher was horrible. She just didn't like kids; she really shouldn't have been a teacher. Her name was mrs Responde or something like that.

I had a couple of crappy college profs who spent half of every class showing us a video (could've done that myself, at home, for much cheaper) but mrs Responte only ever taught me how to hate... her.

All my bad college profs were just useless wastes of money.

Year eight or year nine science teacher. Nobody could understand a word she was saying, and she was completely oblivious to anything that went on in her class. I don't think she was deaf or blind; she just had no idea. There was a joke running around the school that an entire class could jump out the windows and she wouldn't notice. There's truth in that. One lesson, I sat right in the front row, put my head down on the desk and pretended to sleep, and she didn't see damn thing for the entire eighty minutes - and I was right in front of her desk.

My middle school art teacher whose name I can't remember. It's bad enough that I was constantly picked on by other students. It's worse when the teacher does it as well.

Where to even begin? Whilst in high school I had a horrific time with numerous teachers; a term which I use loosely, for the sole purpose of my refusal to allow myself to be belittled akin to a common mutt. I made it quite apparent drawing was not my forte, however such was considered nonsense for my art teacher, who possessed some foreign belief everyone is capable of drawing; to quote ?Picasso wasn?t born with a brush.? It was an ill fought battle for my work was never enough or was too exceptional to be mine; when I sought to take my drawing home. Admittedly I had another perform the work, albeit poorly, if only in hopes of ridding myself of it. Such was not to be?

Additionally my math teacher taught at the pace of turtle, which resulted upon a failure of epic portion when our government exam was send; only three students out of greater than sixty passed. Outside those three not a single person scored above 46% with some having as low as 34%

Another would be during English class, I had busied myself by flipping an eraser and once requested to cease, I complied; however shortly thereafter when attempting to locate my notebook I, by accident knocked the aforementioned eraser to the floor. Thus my teacher announced to the class that all would have to remain after class. I was met with a barrage of insults and physical threatens, all the while it was akin to her being deaf. I eventually proceeded to leave class stating ?Fuck this.?

For other incidences, I have been addressed as ?Idiot? by a teacher, marks intentionally lowered; of which I found proof, told innumerable times I would amount to little and hold a suspension record exceeding thirty times in three years because I would not attend detentions which I never should have had to begin with. My final year dwelling within that school my grades, if I recall were: Math: 52, English: 48, History: 44, Art: 42, Gym: 46, Social Studies: 45, French: 42 (This I admittedly deserved to some extent)

Ironically once having left I immediately ventured to home schooling. The lowest score I held was a 68% with every other exceeding 85%, most well over 90% and one 100%

High school marked my darkest era prior to home schooling - for additionally reasons as well, yet I cannot regret the experience for I would never have become who I am today had it never been.

Edit: I should note, public high school was for the duration of grades 7-9, whilst 9-12 was home schooling.
