From what I've been reading, it seems to be on par with most opinions and reviews. It's just too bad that anyone with a PS3 won't be able to enjoy the online sensation.
Its sad you can just go out and rent a game and make your own opinion on something, you rather just follow what other people say about the game and completely ignore the fact that you most likely havnt played it and have hardly the right to make an opinion of it.Jazoni89 said:I just watched the gametrailers review, and the parkour bits are not that good, as you can only climb certain things.
Plus, the single player is suppose to be rubbish.
Oh well, another game i won't be getting.
Nope, this is completely my own opinion. I didn't like the look of it even before i watched a review on it.maximusw00t said:Its sad you can just go out and rent a game and make your own opinion on something, you rather just follow what other people say about the game and completely ignore the fact that you most likely havnt played it and have hardly the right to make an opinion of it.Jazoni89 said:I just watched the gametrailers review, and the parkour bits are not that good, as you can only climb certain things.

so what you are saying is that if you don't succeed you run the risk of failure? why thank you for that insight George W.Tdc2182 said:Just because it's a good idea doesn't mean it's gonna work.
In fact, if it doesn't work the chances are it's gonna fall hard on it's ass.
I agree. Even if the argument feels hollow after you've shelled out $60 for a game you didn't like. I'll try renting Brink first, because I'm interested in it.ChromeAlchemist said:And yet Eurogamer gave it an 8/10... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-10-brink-review?page=2Devias- said:Joystiq gave it a 40, commented that it 'fell on it's face'. Yikes. Might not be the blockbuster I was hoping for. Good thing I didn't preorder it. I kinda feel like I dodged a bullet with that one since I sat on Direct 2 Drive's sale last night for like 30 mins before I decided I wanted to wait and see.
EDIT: Wait, IGN hasn't reviewed the game yet. What?
Tell you what, pick two games you wish to buy that are out at the same time. Buy Brink, and if it's not as good as it was cracked up to be (I've been following this game for a long time now, so bad times if it isn't) return it and get the other game.
You know who's the best reviewer? You.
I'm pretty sure that sounded a lot smarter in your head.socialmenace42 said:so what you are saying is that if you don't succeed you run the risk of failure? why thank you for that insight George W.Tdc2182 said:Just because it's a good idea doesn't mean it's gonna work.

Actually, I think you leaped in front of a bullet as soon as you started listening to IGN. There are as many good reviews as bad. Don't judge a game solely based on the first bad review you see.Rednog said:Ign gave it a whopping 6.0; ouch.

It's added the feature du jour (parkour... which should probably be showing up in a Mario game any day now) to a MP FPS, so there's that. And if you're hankering for some Team Fortress style MP on a console, there's that.UberaDpmn said:Doesn't look like it doesn't anything new...
It's got a different art style - and that's it.
Well, since that's actually a 'Bushism' and i was using it to illustrate how you were kind of pointing out the obvious, well it probably sounds stupid to you but i still would have thought you would have realised i was being sarcastic when i referred to you as George W.Tdc2182 said:I'm pretty sure that sounded a lot smarter in your head.socialmenace42 said:so what you are saying is that if you don't succeed you run the risk of failure? why thank you for that insight George W.Tdc2182 said:Just because it's a good idea doesn't mean it's gonna work.

I noticed that using the Smart button by its self is kinda robotic, its much easier to tap it for sprint and to hold jump to climb. That made things for me so much easierWitty Name Here said:What annoys me so far is the A.I., when they attack, they zerg rush no matter how stupid or suicidal the idea is, when they defend they all just turtle in the objective area, it's near impossible to do the whole "Capture this object and return it to base!" thing because even if you manage to get it you'll be dead before you can run off...
Also, the "SMART movement" is somewhat annoying as well, I guess you can only do parkour on the "Light" character build because so far I haven't been able to run across walls or any of the things advertised, and sliding is a pain, it involves you making your character look directly down then pressing "A"... Try to do that and then look up again to shoot at enemies and then tell me about annoying...
Once I play it some more and maybe try out the multiplayer, then I'll give my full review.
Oh really? I thought you actually thought I was the real George W. Bush for a second there. Crisis averted.socialmenace42 said:Well, since that's actually a 'Bushism' and i was using it to illustrate how you were kind of pointing out the obvious, well it probably sounds stupid to you but i still would have thought you would have realised i was being sarcastic when i referred to you as George W.Tdc2182 said:I'm pretty sure that sounded a lot smarter in your head.socialmenace42 said:so what you are saying is that if you don't succeed you run the risk of failure? why thank you for that insight George W.Tdc2182 said:Just because it's a good idea doesn't mean it's gonna work.

Oh yeah, you may want to look up 'condescending' in a dictionary.
