What's Up With Minecraft Classic?

is it just me, or is it no longer possible to load up files on the classic minecraft? for the past few weeks, every time i try to load my level it just says "failed to load level list" and usually the browser will crash soon after

It might be because the new "Creative" mode in Minecraft 1.8+ is basically classic Minecraft only with redstone. But that seems like to much of a bad PR move on Notch's part, so I'm going to say that's not what's happening.

Are you talking about classic? They're probably trying to phase it out. There isn't really any need for them to keep it going because of how many people bought/actively play the beta.

Classic is also pretty unrepresentative of the final product at this point.
Hell, maybe they're trying to update it.
