What's wrong with Sly Cooper?

Seriously, what is so wrong with the latest installment that the game just doesn't seem to be selling?

So, there's this store I visit with a certain frequency and I've noticed a trend in the pricing of the Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time games on display:

?40 (on release)
?20 (after a few months)
?10 (not too long ago)
?5 (now)

Five euros? And the games still aren't gone? For a brand spanking new copy of the latest Sly Cooper game? Are the sales really so bad they can't even get a fiver for it? (On a side note, I've also seen the game on display in other stores as well, for about ?20, but my point remains that there are still a lot of unsold copies out there, despite all the price drops.)

I mean, it's not the best platformer ever (loading times & lifespan spring to mind), but it's still enjoyable. On top of that, triple A platformers are a hard thing to come by these days, so it's not as if the market is over-saturated (as opposed to indie platformers). Besides, the original Sly trilogy was well-received and didn't do half bad in sales, so I'm pretty sure it has a strong name and a decent fanbase.

So what's deal?

OT: That does sound pretty unusual. Where did you get the prices from? The lowest I've been able to find is a listing for £11, and that was from some seller I've never heard of before...not exactly sure about their reliability.

Perhaps not many people in your area have PS3s? That's the only reason I haven't gotten it yet since the original trilogy are some of my favorite games of all time. More likely it's a combo of small consumer base + people in your area not wanting to buy "kiddie" games. Since the PS3 schewed higher on its initial pricing, I'm betting the install base schewed a bit older as well.
