i liked many of the ones that have been said, but theres another which i believe is an illusion skill book, which is where a group of mercs and an illusion specialist clear out an old crypt of vampires. I thought it was quite interesting. cant remember what it was called though...

Out of all the books I've got in my "library" in both Oblivion and Skyrim, I've probably only read somewhere between 25 and 45% of the books I have. Even then I usually don't remember but half of what I've read.

The Biography of Baernziah and The Real Barenziah are good reads, especially back to back. Also The Wolf Queen which I just read on my Kindle app and I really enjoyed The Legend of Red Eagle and its associated quest.

The Song of Pelinal, it's prehaps a better story than book, but there is no other book/series of books for which I collect every copy I can find.

Correction, Elderscrolls Books, most of the books were in Oblivion, many Morrowind and some even back as far as Daggerfall.

I'm partial to the Real Barenziah, Chance's Folly, and the Beggar-Thief-Warrior-King series.

Actually my absolute favourite is the Horror of Castle Xyr.:
We're loyal Imperial subjects.
As, I hear, are all Telvanni
Just a little nit-picking point, over 120 of the 240 books in Oblivion were copy-pasted directly from Morrowind, so technically Morrowind (who only had ~20 of its 290 books copied from Daggerfall) had more unique and new books than Oblivion. Just sayin'. ;)

OT - As far as new Skyrim books go, my favourite has to be 'Kolb and the Dragon'. You can find a copy lying in the streets of Markarth if you haven't read it. It's a good chuckle.

The Real Barenziah is fun.
I'm planing on reading the Beggar-Thief-Warrior-King books, I'm just missing one of them.
Noob question, but is there any book shops in skyrim?

I want the last two in that series so badly. I need to find some kind of book vendor in Skyrim to make collecting easier. I mean seriously, in every single TES game, getting all the books was my primary goal outside completing the main quest.

The one with the locked room is good. Also don't look at this until you beat the game.
The elder scroll. When someone watches me play I like to read it during intense fights. "I'll destroy you dragon by reading spells off this timeless artifact-MMYYYY EEEEYYYESSSS!!"
