Half a Brick in a Sock.

Come on, bludgeoning weapons are more use against Zombies than sharpened metal sticks.
Although while I may not slice my hand off by mistake, It's plausible I may stove my own skull in.

Fireaxe for me. Don't need much training to swing an axe. The weight of the axehead is what does the majority of the chopping. It can be used for survival purposes as well as zombie dezombification. Doesn't matter so much if it eventually goes dull. (I'm thinkin' long term here.)

Primary is a M1A2 Abrams,backup is a 8541 Scout/Sniper team setup with M40A3 suppressed,and a M82A3 suppressed.

On-call would be AH-6 Little Birds with M134 miniguns and 2.75 rockets.

Handheld weapons would probably be HK 416 with a 40MM launcher OR the M14 EBR.Backup would be the Benelli M1014.Sidearm would probably be the Kimber Desert Warrior.

If I were by myself..primary would probably be a Mini-14. backup would be a Mossberg 500 series shotgun. .223/5.56 and 12Gauge..can't get more American than that. Pistol would be one of the 3 calibers..9mm/.40SW/.45ACP...it just depends on what I can find.
I would like a desert eagle in probably 44MAG because that is the caliber that most Alaskans would have in their house.

Primary transportation would probably be 1 of my dad's semis..or the Thiokol snowcat.
Finding and keeping fuel and ammo and food would be the top priority..also getting other survivors together would be good.

I would steal ipods and trade them for necessary items..

An axe, machete or crow bar. All useful things to have around in an apocalypse and all good at severing/ripping of limbs and heads.

Primary weapon: Laser rifle (From X-com)
Back up: Laser pistol (Also from X-com)

Both have unlimited ammo, can rapid fire endlessly, pinpoint accurate due to not being affected by wind resistance or gravity, don't do less damage over long ranges, and do heat/fire based damage which zombies are weak against. Seriously. It's not possible to find a better man portable zombie solution then this.

Cavalry sabre for preference and a lightly armoured horse

However for humorous exploits a heavenly armoured rabid dwarf/midget(no offence to any midgets or dwarfs you are all fine little people) at the end of a length of chain to swing at the horde in the style of a flail

Death's scythe for my primary.

Power armour that looks like a skeleton with the robes of Death over said armour. I'd have to beat them with my fists but they'd have tons of power behind it.

The zombies will be screaming friendly fire for hordes to come.

1st weapon: crossbow, don't want to run out of ammo here in teh UK
2nd weapon: hatchet axe as it doubles as a tool for survival, much more useful than a machete or knife here and again isn't reliant on ammunition.
3rd weapon: molotovs

Crowbar, your standard melee weapon for when the ammo supply starts to run low.

As for primary, screw the shotgun, I'd take an AK-47 or other automatic rifle designed to deliver each bullet with a punch. Enough force to rip open a zombies head in one shot, used on single shot it has more ammo per clip, greater power, and similar accuracy to a shotgun.

Of course, seeing as I possess neither a crowbar nor any gun I'd probably end up using the nail-removal end of a hammer.

EDIT: actually an axe would be more effective than a hammer, though I'd still keep the hammer handy as the axe may get stuck in something (or what was someone.)

Also, considering things like nemesis, I'd probably want a high-powered sniper rifle, assuming I could learn to use it. Screw close quarters with that monster, I'm taking him out from half a town away... preferably while supported by tanks and with the army clearing up the remnants of the zombie infection.

Well, I wouldn't have a shotty as my primary. I would have a bolt-action rifle of some kind, probably with a scope for long-range. Shotguns look awesome, but blood spatter and atrocious range make them highly impractical in any case of "real" zombie invasion I can think of. My secondary would then be either M1911's akimbo or a very, very sharp scythe (the shape of a scythe's blade a) make it very dificult to get stuck and b) reduce blood spatter).

It's the zombie apocalypse and you have your trusty shotgun handy, but what's your backup weapon?

Sword? What kind?
Club?
Combat knife?

What would you want to swing at the zombie hordes when you run out of bullets?
Slingshot. I am wicked accurate with it and it's a good mid to long range weapon.

My back up weapon... a SAW (no, not like a a table saw in full caps, a SAW machine gun.) Once i start sprayin that bad boy into a crowd of zombies, limbs go a'flyin.
