A+ on all but one level in Hotline Miami. I'll get it, I fucking know it.

EDIT: I just got it. It felt good.

EDIT: Oh, also Silent Assassin on every level in Hitman: Blood Money. No walkthroughs either.

Clan match in Battlefield Vietnam, F34R (that's us folks!) vs. EVO. After taking a massive beating as NVA, we had only 3 tickets left and the enemy had hundreds. On this particular map, Ia Drang Valley, that is a death sentence because the US have attack helicopters launching from a secluded airbase so far from any vietnamese bases that they are pretty much untouchable.

But we snuck a tunnel to their side. We captured their airbase. We held all the other flags. We hunted down every last survivor. Without any spawn points left, we watched those hundreds of tickets drain away. The last two or three marines got their fill of lead and grenades trying to take the outpost near Chu Prong on the map.

The rival clan was so broken that they weren't even up for playing the next map, meaning we won that too. It smelled like... victory.

Haha! I only got as far as reading about how to get this achievement before I went "Fuck that!". To get so far and screw up, I have to ask, did you break anything at that point? I think my Xbox would have gotten thrown out the window.

OT: For me it would be still being a gamer after all these years, despite it frustrating the shit out of me at times. Case in point, as of a few minutes ago, The Walking Dead save game bug meaning I need to start again from scratch. Oh gods of gaming, why do you mock me so? *Shakes fist at sky*

world of tanks revolves around 15 a side team death match/capture the base.. my best achievement in gaming was killing 11 in a single match with a turretless tank destroyer on sand river , which is a desert map with next to no concealment. i became death. destroyer of tanks !
See now, I hate the M7. And my Somua S40 knew this. I took aim at a medium tank, and fired. The shell went wild.

Then the chat box fills up with "Hacker! I couldn't even see you! 440 damage and not even an ammo rack hit?!"

Then I notice the little orange message that says I nailed an M7 in the face with my terrible aim.

Boom.

Well I have done things I am proud of if FPS games but nothing news worthy. My best moments are probably my gaming marathons, I feel like I achieved something after playing games almost non stop for days on end.

So recently I've been wondering to myself "I've done some things I'm proud of in gaming, what about other people?" So if anyone has anything they're proud of post it here! I have a few, Like beating Japanese Mario 2 or beating Conker's bad fur day without taking damage.
I can beat Contra on the Nes on 1 life (try that, I dare you :)
I can beat Resident Evil 2 in an hour (2 hours, if you're counting both scenarios).
When I was 12, I was unbeatable at Mortal Kombat 3 (I won several competitions, even a national one).

Biggest personal achievement? A bit hard to say...

Obtaining the "Loremaster" title in WoW (before I quit the game) was one of the bigger challenges I set out for myself, and is one of the few remaining positive memories I have about that game; it was good fun tracking down all of those little quests, and sometimes the stories behind them were interesting. However, it's somewhat tainted by my overall memory of WoW being a game built to drive obsessive behaviour patterns.

For something else, one of my personal bests is the completion of the first major Skyrim mod project I set out to do. It was a fairly large dungeon mod, "Sanctum of the Fallen" [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19913] I ended up calling it; ended up being something of a minor hit, but I would say what I'm most proud of about it is the fact I got something of that scale done purely for my own interests. I'm half-planning the follow-up to it, which is intended to be significantly larger, but my current schedule isn't exactly accommodating as it was while I was working on it. And may as well, the quick trailer I made for the mod is in the spoiler below:

SotF Trailer[/youtube]

There's probably other thing I'd call myself "proud" of, as far as gaming goes, but they're fairly minor in comparison to the above... not to mention my non-gaming achievements as well, but that's a different ball-game entirely.

beating battletoads all of the way through on the original NES, no cheating.

it took a lot of practice with the help of a game genie, but i was finally able to do it. likelihood of doing it ever again: zero.

Completing a pacifist run of Assassins Creed 2 (although I think there's 3 guards that the game forces you to kill in quicktime events. Everyone just stops and stares at Ezio with his knife out sitting there until you do it and the cutscene can progress), although in all honest it wasn't terribly hard, I'm more proud that I thought of the idea and stuck to it. But the combat system is so easy, the only hard parts really are the bosses that run away, because you have to land three punches where the game is expecting one sword or knife stab and Ezio has to stop moving after each punch when the boss won't. Leads to funny moments where a man gives a long dramatic speech and then collapses and Ezio prays and looks sad.. and the camera cuts back and the guy is clearly moving around on the floor alive, and groaning.

Also 2 hour police chases on Need for Speed: Most Wanted. I even suck at driving cars and racing, but that's the only time friends have asked me to come around and actually get them passed a difficult point in the game.

Yeah my achievements are a lot less cool than most of your guys now I look at it =D

I could beat the original mario bros without dying in under 10 minutes. I'm not sure if I can do that anymore, or if that is even an achievement, but my mom said I was the best at it on the block.

Ironically, most of my achievements were before the achievements/trophy era.

-I finished FFVIII 100%; everyone was level 100, summons and characters, all Triple triad cards, all best weapons, all sidequests, I got everything!
-I finished Jak and Daxter 2 and 3 in the hardest difficulty (To be fair...it was only a Jak and Daxter game and I was much younger).
-I beat the stupid Challenge of the Gods in all God of War games.
-I once ranked as #1 on the Rock Band leaderboards for singing Pressure by Paramore. But again, to be fair, it happened a couple of weeks after the game came out. I'm sure someone snatched that position already.

I dunno, I'm not one to go after certain achievements unless I can get them during the main gameplay. That is, I won't replay a game just to get a specific achievement. I might replay it cause its crazy fun but that's about it.

I find it very hard to get 100% on FF VIII there is allways something i can't get, that being on the stuff that you have to use angelo search and choco world... I did get the PC version some time ago and it came with the mini game but then it was really broken, you can get the best stuff so early but well you have to know the game to know what to do with it...

Also for me a 100% would mean you got STR, MAG, VIT and that stuff up to 255 (devour for years) too much of a job really. Also I never managed to get ribbon tough (GF learns an ability that gives 100% stat resist to everything or almost everything).

OT:

- I managed to finish RE3 without pausing (when I was young that felt like an achievement)
- There is an online game called grandchase, I liked fighting 1v1 pvp and once i fought a guy with the armor they gave monthly to the best player (most win ratio) and I won. (being that I didnt pay a cent and free armor is shitty that did feel good) also one of the few times I played a 3v3 i won against the 3 other guys on my own... pretty good too.
-First Giant mob in your first MMO also feels very fine, I don't remember the names tough.

Nah, I was a bit too tired to really flip out. I was pretty annoyed, though. And you know what? In my mind, I did it. I achieved my goal, and that's good enough for me. At least I got "the one free bullet" in Episode One.

I played Halo 3 a lot back in the day, but you don't see me topping any leader boards or anything like that.

Oh, I remembered another that might count. I used to play a fair bit of Yu-Gi-Oh.

I met a guy who had the three Egyptian God cards in his deck. For funsies, I challenged him to a game, and asked to wager the cards.

He agreed, with my own ante being my entire deck (filled with quite a few rare cards) and the contents of my wallet (around £50 in cash)

Not only did he manage to field all three cards across the match, but I still beat him.

These were the originals, by the way. Not the 'legal' versions later printed. Look them up.
