I strongly think that the gods of any and all religions are/were aliens. I get weird looks for it, but it makes way more sense to me than believing there's some omnipotent father-figure in the clouds that judges everything you do. I've seen hints of proof that there are extraterrestrials, I haven't seen shit to indicate there are gods. Religion is all ancient, archaic man-made bullshit to keep naive primitive people under control and submissive. They are a detriment to human progression and fundamentalist belief in this nonsense should be regarded as a psychological disorder. I refuse to accept any of this as fact, there is so much more out there beyond our tiny planet that we can't even fathom.
On the flip side, I believe in spirituality to a degree. I think there is also a higher state of thought and mental awareness that we have yet to tap into with possible links to extraterrestrial crossbreeding of ancient homo-sapiens. The theory is that the extraterrestrials share telepathic links with one another and I believe it may be a recessive trait from millenniums of watered down genetics. I maintain this view based on strong empathetic and intuitiveness in my family down through the generations. We have a way of naturally connecting with people on deeper levels without having to know too much about them. You an say it's a learned skill but none of us had to learn it.

I support animal experimentation, and I think most people who are against it have no idea what they're talking about and think the way they do simply because it's cool to be all moral and just. The reality is that without trials on animals, half the biggest plagues and viruses in the world would've taken years longer to treat and/cure. It basically comes down to a choice: would we rather kill a dozen fluffy, sweet bunnies or an innocent human being by ommission? Give me a blade and the rabbit pack any day. I'm sure most people would agree.
What annoys me even more is when people take the religious standpoint of it, completely ignoring the fact that almost all religions preach that HUMAN life is sacred above all others.

Immigration needs to be restricted. (Not blocked completelyy, just reduced numbers). Also, many psychopaths and paedophiles have mental disorders, so it's not always completely their fault.(Though sometimes it is). People always get really angry when I mention this.
People who want to die, should be allowed to die in a controlled and painless way and their family should have no way to intervene as long as that person is of sound mind. Of course, I refer more to euthanasia than teenage angst. I think the latter goes against the idea of being of sound mind.

I have a neutral opinion when it comes to religion. I think that we should all wait until there's another religious event like the second coming of christ until we start beating the crap out of each other over which religion is best. I think that there must be something to this world, it couldn't have appeared out of nowhere. Is there a guy in the sky? I won't say yes or no since I'm not dead yet and haven't seen anything so I won't make a big deal out of it.

I may be no fan of the "apartheid regime" in Israel, but I am even less sympathetic towards the Palestinians who are half-led by a group that want to exterminate Israel and its people. As stuck in outdated ways as he is, Netanyahu has a point when it comes to this: Israel shouldn't be forced to made to feel comfortable sitting side by side with those who want to destroy them.

Give the more "practical" oriented kids just a good preparation for more "practical" careers. I do think there should be a quota for women in many workplaces, since there are few professions in which one gender has been proven to be better than the other, therefore you must assume, that inequalities in hiring are caused by prejudices which must be fought.
On a geekier note: I think that either male superheroes' costumes need to show more flesh or the female's have to show less. Plus villainesses shouldn't usually look like Dominas per default.

I think humans and every other lifeform on this planet are machines evolved for increasing entropy in the universe and are the universe's method of hastening its eventual heat death. That said, I think our ethics as a society should act toward a maximization of scientific progress and minimization of collective pain.
Maybe it'll all be for nothing in the end, but let's try not be assholes to each other and to the rest of the planet in meantime.

I strongly believe that militant atheists can be just as harmful as militant religous people. For example, I think that Richard Dawkins does much more harm than good preaching his belief that all religion is wrong and generally shit, ironically with a near-religious fervour.
