The issues "most" Christians have with "secularism" is that atheists and other secularist have launch an attack on them and their believes. Look at all the religious hate on this one thread, and you'll see why Christians get so pissed. In the same post people put "people should be able to do what they want" but bash religion.
Everyone is getting so damned thin skinned now. Check out MovieBob's whining about his reviews. Atheists, liberals, Christians, Conservatives, libertarians, Muslims, everyone gets so damned offened about everything.

Religion should have no impact on science or politics what-so-ever. ever. (not controversial here, but controversial almost anyway else).
And people should have to have certain medical, financial and parenting tests before they are allowed to have children, if they do not meet the requirements, they can either do what they have to meet them, get the test again and then have children; or just not have children.
I'm sorry, but in this day and age Eugenics, especially in 3rd world countries, is all too necessary.

I think communism is sort of a good idea. i like the all fraternity thing, but it has it's flaws. what i like is the banking system, and no offense, but only a communist dictator can have the power to fix the economy.
i think religion like christianity(the extremist part) can fuck right off. Religion should have no involvment in politics or science.

Firstly, I'm Pro-Choice:
A baby isn't a baby till it's born (alive or dead). Until then, it is a paracite feeding off a host. All this "it's a human life" bullshit is made up to make a woman feel guilty and give birth to a child that could be resented as a result of rape, be unwanted at the time of conception (I'm 20 years old and don't want a child at this time. If I was to get pregnant, I would abort), or have physical or mental defects that could severely limit quality of life for both parents, family and child.
Just because I'm depressed does NOT make me an emo:
This pisses me off more than anything in most cases. I have an anxiety disorder and depression and I try to make sure it does not affect those around me. But sometimes if you don't have an outlet, it just does. I may cry in public, or listen to certain bands, but that doesn't make me an emo, it just makes me a sad music fan. Also, depression isn't something that can be cured by just 'perking up'. It takes months to be able to smile about something and years to feel 'cured'. That may require medication and therapy, but it's not "Oh, lets hug and it'll be all better."
Religion can stay out of my politics:
Just because you have imaginary friends that say "sex before marriage is a sin", doesn't mean I have the same imaginary friends that believe that. The majority should not have to be rounded up by rules made by the minority.

I was actually listening to an interview from a woman who did a study on the masturbating habits of men and how it affected their sex lives, and the ones who used Gonzo (SeeL Violent, degrading, dangerous porn) tried to bring it in to the bedroom. They found it was harder for them to climax by just have vanilla sex and the women who allowed it (or felt intimidated in to it) felt disgusting afterwards. I'm aware there are fetishes out there, but violent stuff that's out there already is doing more harm than good. (ALSO, I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST PORN BEFORE YOU ASK)

Human life begins from the moment of conception; ergo, whether or not anyone thinks it should be legal or not, I do see abortion as killing, and in the great majority of cases, wrong.
I believe in God, and am a confirmed Catholic. I think the Catholic church and many of the more moderate Protestant churches (Lutherans, Anglicans, Baptists, Presbyterians) have been sitting on their asses in the developed world (by that I mean the US, Canada, Europe, Australia) and doing nothing to keep people in those countries in the fold, because I think they're too scared to speak up and actually get into the debate. This is a major unspoken part of the largely negative view many have of religion nowadays. If you let the news media, which tends to only report negative stories about anyone or anything, control public perception of you, of course you're going to be seen in a bad light. People will only see you for your checkered past and the (relatively few) mistakes you make now, not for the great good that you do in people's lives and for the world at large. They won't know that those churches have greatly changed from the way they were even in the 1950s. The only Christians who seem to be speaking up on their own to defend their faith are fundamentalists, and they're only making it worse. Catholicism and moderate Protestant churches need a revival in the developed world in a serious way. Their leaders really need to grow some balls.
I don't exactly have the highest opinion of Europe right now, neither their governments nor their people, and I do mean the UK too. I cannot think of a polite way to explain my reasons why, so I won't.

Right uh, well, I believe in God, so on this site that can count as a controversial opinion. I also think atheists can tend to be just as loud and irritating as religious zealots. I think that revolution is actually warranted sometimes, even if it is violent. And I believe that the biggest problems with the world have to do with people taking religion literally. Both theists, AND atheists, as opposed to just thinking about the contradictions, working around them, and just saying "Hmm. Well that can't be right can it?".
I also believe that religion, if viewed in this light, can actually help society progress. It has happened before people, religion has only really been a damper on progress in the Western world.

I agree with and support the use of animal testing as it serves a purpose or a least some use. I don't agree with fur clothing for fashion as this has no point outside of a "pretty" coat. I disagree with the concept of religion as, looking to the past and present, a great deal of the wars and conflicts have been based around which brand of god people want to follow.
