Most recently? I've been getting back into my Barenaked Ladies collection. Damn they are so awesome.

But over the last two months or so, I've been listening to four artists almost nonstop: The Black Keys, Daft Punk, Minus the Bear and the Gorillaz. All so very good. Definitely check them out if you haven't already.

At the moment i'm on something of a classic bent, i'm mostly listening to the piano sonatas of the major composers as the piano (and other keyboards such as the harpsichord) is my favourite instrument e.g. Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, Scriabin and others.
Other than that I have my usual playlist of various alt rock/metal and industrial tracks. Though I have to say I despise the current surge in popularity of ska, not that I dislike ska just that dickheads with no taste jump on the bandwagon and start raving about it which pisses me off... ska hasn't just been invented you know guys... and for the record, reel big fish are pretty shit from what I've heard of their stuff... just sayin.

I've said this before, and it's a somewhat ethereal explanation, but it's the feeling of power you get from listening to it.

I love classical music to relax, but for workout music I tend to prefer modern orchestral/instrumental (Bill Conti's Rocky themes, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, most of the stuff from APM that NFL Films uses, and ESPN's NFL Primetime music lineup.)

At the moment nothing, I'm skipping between artists, songs and genres on an hourly basis. Today I listened to a lot of Bowling For Soup, but a lot is just relative the inconsistancy of my choice of music. Frank Sinatra has made an appearance.

The longest running "music obsession" was with Fall Out Boy, I spent months listening to almost nothing but Folie A Deux and Infinity on High, and From Under The Corktree defined my high school career. Other artists that have seen high frequency of play in the past range from Eminem (a solid couple of months), Michael Jackson, The Beatles (arguably my favourite band of all time, but even they didn't enjoy such a concentrated play extravaganza as FOB did), The Used, Silversun Pickups, The Hush Sound, Frank Sinatra, Lamb of God, System of a Down, We Butter The Bread With Butter, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, and that's all I can think of right now. They all enjoyed LONG periods of repeated consistant play without variation.

Now though, nothing.

We're gonna need another high 5 here. ASAP. Moar ghosts n whatever is my personal favourite. Little pissed with Deadmau5/his management though. I was supposed to see him in Glasgow on the 17th, with a friend, but the gig got cancelled because of "Adverse weather conditions". However, I was in Glasgow that Friday and there was no snow at all! There was snow the next day, sure, but not on the gig. Pretty sure he just couldn't be arsed with Glasgow and wanted to make sure he got to London where the snow was miles worse. Probably because the London gig could rake in more money. I wouldn't have minded so much if we weren't fed bullshit about the weather in Glasgow being bad and if it wasn't cancelled the night before, pretty much at the last minute. Couldn't get a refund on my hotel because it was the day before.
