I change mine from time to time, but usually it's either a pretty picture or something to do with anime. When I go for anime, I go with my favorite anime character, Kenshin Himura from Rurouni Kenshin. I found this on a web search a while back, and so it's the one I use now. I think it's pretty awesome!

I change my background almost weekly. Usually it's either wolves or females (gaming or artsy.) Occasionally some nice landscape (woods, castle, etc.) I never put up anything unappropriate since I have children and a roomate. Use to put up pics of my love or my children, but since I now use my TV as my monitor, the pictures look too askew.

I usually use space pictures (they are usually photoshop'd and at 2560x1600 if posible) I just like the mystery and unknown.I would show you but I don't know how to insert an image. I know it is probably the easiest thing but can someone please tell me (it is really bugging me)
My background cycles through dozens of photos and changes every 3 minutes or so automatically. Most of them are Magic the Gathering art that I particularly enjoy. The rest or nature based settings, or video game concept art of settings without characters.
My favorite is Time Sieve...a card I had overlooked for its art, but absolutely love it when used in large scale on a background. The colours really pop out and they don't interfere with the icons on my desktop.
