From Repo! The Genetic Opera my favourite song is the one where it goes:
Zydrate comes in a little glass vial
*people around*:A little glass vial?
A little glass vial
This too. Repo! is just amazing. Zydrate Anatomy is my favourite song as well :)

Probably Bigger Longer and Uncut.
and it's funny because the songwriter from Avenue Q got heaps of inspiration from it.
Nice call! I definitely have to say this is in my top 5. Also, WWBBD just kicks ass.

Throwing in my man card, Moulin Rouge. Really the only musical I've ever watched, but I loved it a lot, especially 'El Tango de Roxanne'.
I didn't think I'd be ninja'd so soon, but yeah, Moulin Rouge is a beautiful musical. Just remembering the main song and the ending brings tears to my eyes. So happy my friend showed it to me.

The book of Mormon hands down forever and ever. The $145 price tag per seat was a steal considering how hilarious that musical was.

A relatively obscure one, Whitechapel, for me. It's about Jack the Ripper. I only ever got to see a stage reading (with the songs) and I was sobbing for the last 15min without stopping

Mine would definitely have to be Avenue Q. Just the crazy over the top songs and simply ridiculous nature of the show make it incredible. My favorite song from it would have to be "The Internet is for Porn."
Avenue Q is amazing, although my favourite song from it has to be Schadenfreude :p

That said my favourite musical is by far and away "The Phantom of the Opera."

Cool songs, cool characters, cool sets and awesome pyrotechnics.

But if I had to pick one favorite, one deserted island musical, so to speak, it'd be Pirates of Penzance. Can't go wrong with a little Gilbert and Sullivan. : )
I am the very model of a Modern Major General ;)

I haven't seen many but I really liked Camelot (1960). The movie was awesome too. Also, it had Dumbledore in it. This is good enough reason to love it.

Edit:

Oh, and favourite song from it? This one is definitely up there:

as is this one:

...this one too?

Argghhh, indecision, you will be my demise!

I will say Phantom of the Opera. The Overture starts playing in my head if I'm bored or can't think of anything... like right now.

I normally hate musicals, but I like anything with Superstar Rajinikanth. I don't know what it is, maybe it is the physics defying action scenes that cut directly into a musical number. Savaji the Boss was freaking awesome.

I like Phantom, Les Mis and Jekyll and Hyde, but my favourite is Notre Dame de Paris.

The intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L24vaxNH91w

Riccardo Cocciante also wrote a musical for The Little Prince:

But my all-time favourite song has got to be "Falcon in the Dive" from The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Probably The Lion King. That show was amazing.

And I have seen a few clips of Avenue Q, and it looks good. I'd love to see it someday.

Damn - I was all set to say Team America (the montage song) but then Starik had to remind me of The Blues Brothers. Now I can't decide!

Anyways, +1 vote for honorable mention to "What Would Brian Boitano Do" there's no disputing that. I saw Bigger Longer... in its theatrical release and I still remember that song at least once a month.

Les Miserab (I don't know how to spell it)

Saw it while I was in London. Amazing musical. I'm not going to lie, I was tearing up at the end.
