What's your favourite cosplay?

In just under a month is my friends birthday party, it's fancy dress and we're going on a night out around Liverpool, and i need a costume. Obviously i need to put some thought into this, as i don't want to boil alive inside a night club, nor freeze to death outside in the middle of December.

I was thinking of going as John Marston, but i thought i'd make a thread about fancy dress and cosplay for some further inspiration.

So forum, what's your favourite cosplay?

i dressed as two face for halloween
part of the outfit was a jacket, could be took off when i was too warm inside, put back on when i went out for a smoke

Go as a sim, make a diamond out of wire coat hangers, put an LED in the middle and cover with green lighting gels or any sort of transparent plastic. if you want to go fancy you could make a board with green, orange, red and white LEDs on it and a switch to change what one is on and use clear plastic. So you can change moods.

As for me, I'm not too much of a cosplay guy, and I don't attend conventions. A really well done Creeper cosplay is something I haven't seen yet.

My favourite show of all time is ReBoot, so I'd love to (and am planning to) cosplay as AndrAIa for next year! I've seen some picture of other people, and I figure it wouldn't be too hard to make!

I just don't get the British use of "fancy dress" as an expression meaning 'costume', to my Canadian brain 'fancy dress' obviously implies dressing fancy, as in evening wear...you know, suits, tuxs, gowns, that kind of thing.

when/why did 'fancy' start meaning 'costumes'?

Heh, if i were a girl i'd go as Saya (spelling?), but i doubt i'd be able to get a katana in a night club!

If i had long black hair and access to a cello i could try Haji, but i don't think that's very practical!
