Whats your first race/class combo in Skyrim going to be?

Yes i know that there are no actual classes in Skyrim, what i mean is what you gonna focus on more: combat, stealth, magic or some combination of sorts?

Taking from my experience from Morrowind I'll probably make my first character a Paladin of sorts e.g. primarily a fighter but with restoration skill (to heal my self).
I'm not yet sure about the race....either a Redguard or a Breton.

Than again i might change my mind and do the same thing i did in oblivion, a wood elf archer.....i just love those sneaky crits :)

So, how about you?

I'll be doing what i normally do, going the sneaky route.
Probably a stealthy wood elf archer, with a bit of illusion magic thrown in.

Custom class I always start with called Shadow

Steed

Agility
Luck

Athletics
Acrobatics
Security
Sneak
Illusion
Mysticism
Alteration

Pretty standard stealth class. Except without much emphasis on combat.

Good ol' hack and slash redguard. Heavy armor. Although I'm not certain on how i'm going to do the whole dual wield thing. 2 swords, a claymore, classic sword and shield, or sword and magic.
Thoughts?

Nord! Spellsword or Warrior. I usually end up using ranged weapons and spells more often than melee, but that was because i didn't really enjoy the melee mechanics of the earlier ES games. This one looks to be pretty neat. Nord because its Skyrim and that seems most logical. Always roll Imperial or Nords anyways. So, yeah...Sword using spell casting Nord.

Pretty much gonna be a Nord.

I never gave a shit about what powers they had, I just like the general look.

Most likely a Redguard custom. Though I wonder if they'll just have that horrible hag-squeal voice for all the Mer women.

My first will be a Khajiit, of that I have no doubt... as for class, eh... >.>

I loved being a sneaky meleer in Oblivion; the satisfaction of silently creeping up on someone and hacking, slashing or bashing them in the back for an instakill cannot be trumped. :3

As of now, I see myself taking stealth, swords (or axes/maces... or possibly even unarmed, not sure yet :|), in addition to illusion and conjuration magicks. Don't plan on being an evil bastard and stealing everything and killing everyone, just hate coming across locked doors and chests inside dungeons. :p

Saw a recent screenshot of a bound bow and it looked pretty awesome, so hoping that the rest of the bound armour and weaponry is at least half as yummy looking...

At first, simply to harcon back to my first character in Oblivion, I will go with a Breton Warrior mage with a Sword, shield, and numerous fire based spells. Then I will probably go with a straight stealth character. Looking forward to being a duel wielding thief, since I could never get the damn dual wield function in Unnecessary violence to work.

Dark elf dual-wielding spellsword.

Then a Khajiit Nightblade

Then a full-on-blow-your-face-off mage. Not sure what race yet.

Not really sure. I think I'll play as a Redguard for the early combat advantage, or an Imperial for the speech skill.

But as for class, I know I want to chop peoples heads off, but I'm undecided in terms of One-handed VS Two-handed, Light VS Heavy armor, and if I go with One-handed, I'm still deciding if want to go with the Samurai(Single weapon, no shield), Spartan(Single weapon and shield) or Spartacus(Two weapons) route.

I also find magic tempting, I might minor in Illusion if I decide to take a level in stealth, or maybe Destruction because, hey, I can set shit on fire.

Not to mention crafting.

I think I'll just let the chips fall where they may.

Orc, I'm going to use my character from Morrowind, who traveled to Cyrodil after the events of Bloodmoon, who, after the events of Shivering Isles was either thrown through time or reincarnated/quantum leaped into the events of Skyrim. Needless to say the quantum leap process weakened him greatly, which is why he has to relearn all skills, starting from nothing.

I'll probably have two.

A breton based off of this handsome devil.

Basically, a virtuous Necromancer whose job it is to preserve the balance between life and death.

And an Imperial thief, using daggers and guile to worm my way around the darkest recesses of Skyrim.

Argonian mage with a sub skill of archery. But as always after awhile my character will be pretty much great at everything.

Pretty similar to my Oblivion playthrough; a light armor-wearing male Khajiit with a penchant for one-handed swords, archery, and healing magic (Restoration). Everything else I plan to just let progress naturally, although I also expect to at least gain some proficiency in Sneak, Block, and Lockpicking. Maybe Speech as well if that skill is implemented better than the Speechcraft skill in Oblivion.

Not sure what you'd label that kind of specialization as, and since the character I have planned wouldn't exactly be the type to label himself, I won't even try to label it. He just is what he needs to be.
