I'll just least this here. But I rather agree with David Grohl. as long as you are not hurting anyone there is no reason to feel ashamed of anything
And the fact that I watch Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. To non-anime fans (and ever to a lot of anime fans) just the name is enough to put you off but if you get past that, it's a very enjoyable and entertaining show. It's hard explaining why the cartoon you're watching has moaning and sex noises in it though...
Isn't it supposed to be part satire of the American culture from the eyes of Gainax Studios? the moaning and sex noises are downright necessary given our obsession with sexuality but not the actually act.

but yeah, I probably won't be telling anyone about that.

Guilty Pleasure is probably Sim City (the new one) I never played a Sim City game and I got it on sale at Target. Excuse me while I go complete my Casino town.

I enjoy MLP and think that it's a light hearted enjoyable show.

I sometimes read hentai and yaoi and just skip over the sex scenes because I really enjoy good romance stories.

Even though I think that arguing about shipping is really stupid, I actually enjoy pairing characters up myself. I don't do it just to ship people, but sometimes when I'm playing a game (Deus Ex:HR, Mass Effect) I'll see two characters and become absolutely convinced that they should be together (Jensen & Malik, Shepard & Garrus) then rage so hard if they can't be together. (I was so fuking pissed after finishing HR because Jensen and Malik couldn't be together. I was also really pissed when I played through ME2 again as mshep instead of a femshep and couldn't pick up Garrus again.)

In case you can't tell, my favorite subgenre is romance, even though I much prefer to read a sci-fi or fantasy story with a strong romance element than a straight up romance.

I like Ke$ha.

I actually did listen to dubstep before it was "cool", but I'm afraid to tell people because I'm worried they'll think I'm a poseur or that I'm trying super hard to be hipster.

I once bought a shirt in a girls size by mistake and it fit really well (although the sleeves were too short)...

Sports animes... I have a thing about people, and series that are involved in things that I'm not a part of. So, yeah. I actually really enjoy those.

I also really enjoy listening to religious fundamentalists. The things they say make me laugh, honestly. The only way I can explain it, is by comparing it to people who enjoy watching those 'end of the world' series on TV.
I've actually liked Eye shield 21. I was talking with my girlfriend a short while ago about this. We know there are football, baseball, soccer, tennis... but is there a skateboard anime? We weren't sure on that.

OT: I like reading threads like this.

Well...

I really liked this payoff.

Also, Pokemon's still kind of something people guilt you for playing...

Amoung my friends it's always been more like "Lol you don't play pokemon? Newb. Oh wait, the only reason you haven't bought the current game is because you believe that a previous game is irrefutably superior and that no other game in the whole series even comes close to touching it? Oh. Ok, that's cool. Yeah silver was awesome. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT RUBY???"

That said I never played silver when I was a kid and after playing the remake, I'd have to say that a guilty pleasure of mine (at least it would be a guilty pleasure around some people I know) is that I feel Ruby and Sapphire were far and away the best pokemon games ever.

Langoliers gave me nightmares as a child.

I was a very easily scared child, but i did enjoy being scared, watching horror movies in the middle of a night was one of the most fond memories i have.

I'm still boring.

And I hoped this thread wouldn't turn out to be a fetish thread.
But, threads that turn into fetish threads is MY guilty pleasure... LOL

But, seriously, my guilty pleasure is liking music to video games that I will never play in my lifetime... Not because I can't, by any means, but because I don't feel like playing them in the first place...

This kinda pisses off my friend whenever we go to a Video Games Live concert and close to over half the show is spent playing songs from Halo, Diablo, and any other AAA/popular game that we both have never played or will ever play... Given how he mostly likes when VGL plays songs to games he likes overall (which is either Mario, Zelda, or Kingdom Hearts with honorably mentions given to Portal, Street Fighter, and Castlevania), its kinda hard to persuade him to at least enjoy the overall concert in that respect...

"If you like a bit of mainstream pop... you need to go, 'they're my guilty pleasure.' I hate that phrase. It's an insult to top quality pop. It is also an insult to guilt. I may be an atheist now, but I did my time in the catholic church, and frankly we did a lot of work on guilt. It takes a bit more than 'gimmie gimmie gimmie a man after midnight.' you actually have to have the man after midnight for a start... You know what my actual guilty pleasure is? I like to use a crowded tube train to touch women." - Dara O' Briain

That's all I have to say.

Those terrible CG testicles? Nice!

I find it almost comedic actually. But when I first saw that film, I'll admit that scene freaked me the fuck out. Of course I was really young, so I barely understood what was going on.

Well since that Dave Grohl picture has already been used on a third of the posts already I won't copy paste it.

I liked a fucking Ke$ha song, and I listen to fucking Ke$ha. Her first Album and EP are quite refreshing and bursting with her mind rotting personality. Her second Album is her diluted with quite a few good songs (considering the genre, obviously), and I hope "Crazy Kids" does better than "C'Mon"'s unfortunate reign and becomes a hit.

I have tonnes of other guilty pleasures, but the fact that I actually like Pop could be one that I find hard to admit because the vast majority of it is awful, lazy or stupid which makes the stuff I like seem better by comparison.

I guess mine would be the "Ore no Imõto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai" anime or in english: My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute
That anime is awesome, but I'm not sure I would mention that to anyone but close friends.

Also in that particular line of guilty pleasures would be YuruYuri... It's so mind numbingly hilarious.

My biggest one is one I can't really hide though... That's my 164 hour Steam history of Yosumin! That game has helped me through some really stressful times...

Futanari is probably my favorite fetish. All the goodness of lesbian porn and all the goodness of traditional penetration porn.

However I stick to anime stuff, the real stuff is too... I don't know.
Takes alot to admit that in a forum like this... but good on you! I happen to like it as well so i'm glad i'm not the only one to say it

Another one of my guilty pleasures is these kinds of threads. I enjoy telling strangers over the internet things that I'm not actually ashamed of but too shy to say to peoples faces.

I'll probably be back quite a few times...

Well, whenever the second-hand bookshop that I work at is deserted, I can't resist the urge to open up either a 50 Shades of Grey knock-off or one of the sex guides from the self help section. I don't know how we're ever going to sell those, since I can't imagine anyone actually going through buying one of those in person. Second hand, no less.

I just like opening them up at random and trying to figure out the Consortment of the Splayed Crab, or whatever position they're trying to convince you will feel awesome so long as you don't slip a disc.

Ok, maybe Arnie films. But still, only a tiny twinge of guilt.

(There's now swimming anime too! ;D) Hmmm... I've never heard of any skating animes... But maybe! There might be manga of it but no anime. That's a lot more likely of a scenario.

Well I've noticed a lot of people on the internet tend to look down upon popular music like Linkin Park, Creed, or Evanessence.

I'll admit, I enjoy listening to their songs on occasion. Same goes with a lot of mainstream music. I guess it's because I was raised by that kind of stuff by listening to my parent's radio in the car.

Also, I'm a bit of a sucker for romance in games. Even if it's just slightly hinted at or teased, I would end up rooting for the couple in question and hope they end up together.

Oh, and My Little Pony.

Alcohol - To a dangerous extent; 3 bottles of spirits between Friday and Sunday night consistently
Crafts - I love paper mache and painting glued wood scuptures, etc. I destroy em after to prevent anyone finding em (I keep 1 photo of each tho :) )
Imagination - I like to spend 3-4 hours just lying around daydreaming. Never shared those thoughts with anyone
