Web software developer, specializing in the Flash platform, but I can also do C# / Silverlight / HTML / Javascript / AJAX / CSS. Flash is just more fun and it seems to be my bread and butter right now. Currently working on a contract to develop a navigation UI for a document management company.

Careful with the link. If the mods see it as an advertisement attempt they might take action. I hope they don't. Welcome to the escapist!

I used to be a librarian, but for now I'm mostly "there for" my kids. My eldest needs a bit more care than other children his age. I guess you could call me a home make or a housewife.
Hooray another actual adult :) Me I'm in IT part time, and home schooling full time.

Massively Multiplayer Strategy-ish. Really hard to explain without seeing it. As you might imagine from a single-person project, it's pretty simplistic (2D top-down graphics) and relies heavily on procedural content generation.
Believe it or not I was just talking about the need for a persistent world MMO strategy game with a friend last weekend. (after describing Dwarf Fortress to him...he assumed it was persistent world and MMO until he saw it)

And you say 'procedural content generation' like it's a bad thing, and not a big, big thing right now. I've sunk a *bunch* of hours in Minecraft and its procedural content generation in the last few weeks. :)

I hope to hear more of this soon!

Aside from my schooling, I volunteer at the local elementary school as a reading tutor. That could be considered my job, I suppose. 'Cept I don't get paid for it.

I'm an aerospace engineer at a private space company in Mojave, CA. I spend every day doing detail design work on a spaceship designed to carry a pilot and either a participant or a payload to microgravity. It is pretty dang awesome.

I have a job and a half - during the day, I'm a systems engineer, and I like the work. I fell into IT and sort of enjoyed working with technology, computers, servers, and networks, so that's what I'm doing.

On some nights, I do a little community work for a company in the gaming industry.

Gotta pay those bills.
