This thread severely lacks Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy composer).

So many good songs to choose from...

Another Epic song thread? Fine here's epic but in a padded room sort of way...

Sixteen and a half minutes of epic, with more twists and turns than I've ever heard in anything else.

Also, the phrase "testicular fortitude".

Honestly, I could open my music player and pick any Two Steps From Hell track to compete with any other songs here. But there's a toss-up between any of those and a couple of Miracle of Sound songs.

So, here are my offerings:

An oldy but a goody -

Kinda cheesy but epic at the same time and really captured the spirit of the game. And I'm sure it had an influence on this -

Well it changes a bit, but as of right now, it would be this song:

It just sounds so...different, spiritual almost. Plus it has some amazing guitar work. It's both quiet and loud, the perfect song in my book.

So, we have some Final Fantasy AND, in a weird and wonderful twist, we have Grandia represented here? There might be hope for RPGs, yet!

Time to bring in some more RPG music goodness!

Finally, to add more Final Fantasy to the lists, some awesome bar music courtesy of S.S.H.:

I've got 3 good ones:
Hey, Alone in the Dark wasn't perfect, but the music was great.

The only music truly fitting for a boss fight with Azathoth.

For all it's quirky humor and art style, The Neverhood had a really epic climax.

That's tough man, it's cruel to make us pick one. I hate dissecting albums into individual songs. I could probably narrow it down to five songs.
Pixies - Where Is My Mind The part that starts at 2:00 gets me every time, eargasm.
Kasabian - Doberman
Feeder - Yesterday Went Too Soon
Feeder - Cement
Stone Roses - Fools Gold

When I'm in need of epic epicosity, I usually turn to Two Steps from Hell. But since I can't post their entire catalogue, here is one of my favorites instead.

How did I forget the RoE 2.0 soundtrack? It's so easy to listen to out of context and I love that. Definitely the most epic film OST I've ever listened to.

Yay, another opportunity to post Ezio's Family! :D

Also, it took us nine whole posts to mention Requiem for a Dream? Escapist, I am disappoint.

The Theme to Howle's Moving Castle

This is the song that will be played during the end of the universe. I'm not usually a guy for piano violin pieces, but it's easy to see just how beautiful this music is
