I fell from my longboard, did a frontflip and landed on my hand. Ligament in my wrist were torn, and I got a wound on my elbow that eventually got infected and started to produce pus.

Yeah.

I was putting a piece of salmon into a frying pan while cooking and it slipped out of my hands, sending a spray of boiling hot butter into my face. That was about two, maybe three weeks ago, and the marks from the blisters on my forehead are more or less gone now. Heh... It's a good thing I've got glasses, really, 'cause most of it ended up hitting the right lens of my glasses. Could've been really bad otherwise.

I've got a high tolerance for pain, though, so really, it wasn't that bad. The blisters were pretty minor, too.

But yeah, that's how the masters cook... with their faces...
that explains Gordon Ramsey...

OT: probably the dye injection in my shoulder in preparation for an MRI. The pain was unpleasant, but mainly the whole thing was very uncomfortable. Especially because they had to leave the needle in for like three minutes. On the other hand, I had a badass Indian (actual Indian, not Native American) doctor with a mustache.

I don't get hurt physically very much but as for physcological pain, I've been reading a lot of Creepy Pasta stories. So I've been paranoid for a while. Watching marblehornets really doesn't help too. :(

Woke up yesterday morning with aches in my stomach and lower back, had to lie in fetal position for a while. But ibuprofen (that fantastic, heavenly thing) fixed it.

Nail through the hand.

That was an experience I won't soon forget.

This one will be interesting. I was talking to someone who is clinically insane, and had to explain to him logically why he *shouldn't* kill his family. I felt like their lives were in my hands, and that had to have been the worst experience I have ever had. Eventually we changed the topic, and I had to explain what empathy, pride, honor, and a host of other things were logically to him. It was very...odd. I did not at all like that experience. It felt like one where I needed to think and answer questions very quickly, but I wanted to just tell myself "this isn't happening".

Probably getting a chunk of carbon wedged under my finger nail (which hurt like hell), then after waiting for about 5 hours, getting it literally scraped out by a nurse with a little metal poker.

I'm asking this because at the moment I'm trying to fill out a job application form, and its very difficult when you have a spot on your writing arm's armpit, which is a lot more painful than it sounds.

So whats your most recent very painful experience?
cell phone went off while a was biking, startled me, so i swerved, hit a telephone pole, and was sent flying, although the only injury was a bruise

My dog bit my thumb. Now I would like to stress that my dog is not a nasty dog, in fact I would go as far as to say that he is a big wimp. I play fight with him all the time and he play bites back. However he is very possesive about anything that he considers his, this can be anything from one of his toys to an empty bottle that he found in the street.

Anyway, I was out walking him about a week ago and he picks up a stick that he finds on the beach, I stupidly make a grab for the stick and he reacts as I knew he would, only this time he gets his teeth on my thumb. That really hurt with lots of blood and I think I'm going to lose the nail. I wasn't happy with him him for a while, even though it was probably my fault as much as his.

When I was around 10 years old, I had a root canal done by my dentist. They had this gas you breath (they called it magic air iirc) to help with the pain. Problem is... Stuff didn't work on me. I could feel them drilling into my teeth, and it HURT like nothing I've ever felt since.

All the while I'm yelling best I can (Damned rubber screen-thing they prop up in your mouth) and the dentists are all like, "Oh, its OK, he can't really feel it"

Even if I couldn't really feel, and only thought I did (In which case my imagination can conjurer up some pretty hard core pain) it shouldn't have really mattered. They should have stopped and fixed the issue. They didn't.

EDIT: I apparently didn't notice the recent part of the title.

In which case probably when i got up at 3 in the morning in my apartment, feeling hungry. Pitch black, couldn't see a thing. the hall way leading to the kitchen from the bedroom has a closet on the left hand side, so I drifted my hand along it, turning left into the kitchen when it ended.

Yeah, the closet was open. i walked right into the wall.

I wrenched the center of my back lifting my old dog into the car. It hurts to breathe! But I have an excuse to not have to leave my office today.
