Wheeee.

551 replies, 15088 views.

Really interesting reading, too!

So glad everyone managed to keep it civil, too. Good stuff.

Mine was 3 pages long and lasted two days. Sad, I know.

Its been around for over two years, has over 7,000 posts, over 200 pages and is still going strong. Seriously, this RP has been around longer then most users on this site have. A thread that gets a lot of posts is nice, but the thread that gets a lot of posts and stays around to get more is better.

I had a thread that got over 10,000 views (and got me the badge for that) and had something over 200 responses.

It's strange that I completely forget what thread it was, but I'd say it was my most successful one.

I get to advertise my thread? Awesome!
It is this one: American Women need Sexual Freedeom Instead of Victimizing Themselves [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.262392-American-Women-need-Sexual-Freedom-Instead-of-Victimizing-Themselves].
A nice title, isn't it?

A couple of thousand views, and 130-odd replies so far.

I'm unsure if people are simply scared of the subject-matter, have little to add, or are simply not interested in the discussion. I would have thought it had gotten a lot more replies, if I can be honest - but such is life, isn't it? :)

I also had another thread with more views and replies titled "Censorship is REAL and ADVANCING"... Maybe I can dig up a link somewhere... Censorship is REAL and ADVANCING [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.86179-Censorship-is-REAL-and-ADVANCING]. There it is. Old thread. 227 replies. Please get thread necromancing! ;-)

It does annoy me when the thread I posted get a couple of posts and get buried soon afterward. At this rate I will never get that badge for the On Fire badge (10,000 views) and Amazing Topic! badge ( 1,000 replies)

I made one about who people resemble, titled, oddly enough, "Who Do You Resemble?"

My most successful, even if it got very few replies was "BUY BIG BALLS AT BALLSWHOLESALERS.COM!!!!!!!!"
A thread about weird spam.

This thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.220342-Theyre-going-to-do-WHAT] which I made about... 7 months ago? Only 47 replies and around a thousand views, nothing really special.

A forum game called The Hugging Game I made a while back that's still going strong. It's the thread that gave me my Inferno badge. Almost a 1000 pages and still active.

It was just this morning that I got the badge for a thread with over 10,000 views. However, can I hell remember what it was...

I don't think it's that...
Even the last bastion of intelligence on the internet doesn't like reading too much.
That could be the case.
It also could not.

Subjects you are interested in, you will generally be willing to read about, wouldn't you?
I wasn't looking for people not interested.
I was looking for people who were indeed interested, to have an intelligent discussion.

And I would assume that there are more people interested in the subject of my thread than the number of replies let on.

I really think that daunting first-scrolldown over your first post is the major factor though.
I'm sure some(maybe a lot) were scared off by the long OP - but those weren't the people I wanted to discuss the issue with, either.
I actually think scaring those people off meant for a much tidier, thoughtful thread.

There's also that, there's not a lot to comment on. I read your post, only thing I could think of was "why is Denmark so much better than every other country?"
I think you need to learn how to read and comprehend text, then :)
A lot of different points are made, and questions raised, in the OP. If you are unable to decipher them, then that is your problem, not mine.

Anyway, no reason to argue this further. It is becoming increasingly off-topic for this particular thread.

I only made three threads, and that one was the only to make it to the second page, let alone to the fifth.

I don't know. It got maybe 10 pages and 8000 views. Nothing big. Not trying to bash anyone in particular, but it does annoy me like hell when I feel I've made a good thread and yet some topic like "my gf doesn't shut up about her period" gets obscene amounts of views over mine. Despite having no real discussion value.

This was my most successful thread in regards to page views, over 7500 views, if I remember correctly. I had two other really successful threads, but I can't find either one of them. I know the one on piracy was deleted by a mod, who also gave me a warning for starting controversial and potentially offensive threads, but the other one, which was me trying to get people to stop bashing religion every time it came up -- or at least to keep that stuff to the R&P forum -- must have fallen off the list naturally. It eventually got moved to R&P itself, but it wasn't deleted by a mod, and I certainly didn't get in trouble for it.

Edit: and for clarification, the religion topic got several more pages than any of my other topics, but the total number of views was in the 6,000s. The Piracy topic was in between, on both parts.
