When did the Escapist put a 20 page limit on the forum history? I've been away from the forums for a couple of months so this comes as a shock to me (I was planning on going back and commenting on a couple of the great threads that I missed out on. Bummer...).

Mods, please lock this thread when the question is answered. Thanks.

Pretty much this. Webservers aren't black holes of information, they can only store so much.

You can still access older threads through links just not on the forum list

You can still go back farther by typing in the number in the address bar.

I didn't notice this happened, but it doesn't really matter. I don't need to go back that far.

Do you really need to wade through twenty pages of threads?

Anyways, probably so that the site runs smoother. Like others have said.

Chances are if they haven't been viewed or posted on in so long that they've fallen 20 pages, they aren't really topics of interest anyway.

That's what bookmarks are for :) Oh wait. I didn't realise you meant new (old) threads. I thought you meant threads you were already a part of and wanted to dive back in. Now I have to change my opinion. Ummmmmmm... Faster loads?
