Im just after realising that almost all these posts are started by the same person and offer a very deep insight to the writers (plural) soul.

When I realized that politics are the biggest waste of time ever, people care more about celebrities then actual news, and when I saw a Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks here in Houston, Tx. That's when I became me; a cynical, sarcastic joker who looks at our country with a jaded eye through rose-colored glasses.

The day I discovered George Carlin could also count.

What the hell kind a question is this? Are you asking for the biggest change or change in general? You can always say you are you dude to the sheer amount of change that happens to a human beings mind every second. but if you want to know big change you need big deals happening in peoples life.

Well you still want to know? Biggest change then, When i came out of the closet. There you go thats it. Now if you are asking for them most recent change. This second as i typed this last few words.

This is a tough question that is really hard to answer. I would say that I started to discover myself when I discovered philosophy and then finally realized who I was when I found stoicism.

One Friday a few months ago.
I finally admitted a lot of things to someone for the first time, and she helped me through so much.

I do believe that is the answer I was looking for.

I'm pretty sure I became me when I turned self-aware; according to my memory banks, that would be October 21, 1997 at 7:09:57 PM.

Before that, I was only a primitive cyborg, with only "rules" and "goals" and the "Three Laws of Robotics", never really living.

You humans....you have it good.

The first time I smoked pot.

I found out that reality is a form of thought expressed by what the vast majority deem as normal.

I was sick of following the vast majorities way of thinking.

I used to sweat the small stuff care about stupid things, now I see the big picture.

I was so naiive I hope I never return to it.

Which were you, repentant or unrepentant thief?

I became me around the age of 12, I guess. I still feel like exactly the same person in many ways. I was always me before that, of course, but the me I am now was a product of my early teen years.

When I smashed the TV, burned the newspaper, left home, threw all my money away, took all my clothes off, lied down, shut my eyes, faded away, passed out, died, met God and he asked "Who are you?" and I told him a name I didn't choose, the place I was born, the house I lived in, the school I learned in, the factory I earned in, the music I danced to and the people the talked to, when he said "So, who are you?" when- unless I was quick- I'd be stuck, and then- because I was quick- I said "I am a mass of chemicals co-ordinated by the will to live, and with the ability to acknowledge my seperate existence, as oppoesd to the theoretical existence of the rest of the universe, including you." at which point, God dissappeared, leaving me in charge and therefore by definition, I became myself.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf6kmAIPEaY

It talks about the fact that you're never actually you because there's so many different influences in the world.
Sounds like the plot for the next Ghost in the Shell movie. In a sense, I agree. The reality of "self" is sometimes an obscure and disturbing one. Sometimes I feel like I'm looking at myself in third person, so am I really still "me?" Is the me I know a product of external stimuli or the essence of my true personality? IS there a core existence, or did external forces BECOME the core existence. What about dreams that seem real where I'm somebody else? What line of reality do they cross, how do they affect the "me" that I think exists?

Food for thought, I guess.

I cant pinpoint a moment when I became me or even one defining moment, but I have often thought about all the experiences along the way and how they changed my perspective. I won't list many, just a couple for example.

Parents getting divorced, and finding out that they had been out of love for many years beforehand - absolutely threw my ideas of marriage out the window as I had been so blind to it. That and the aftermath of custody and financial fighting between the two of them. As a result of this and a few other things, I have a deep fear of commitment and will probably never marry. I'm giving a girlfriend another shot at the moment to see if I can handle a long term relationship though, so who knows... probably will give up on it. This also made my feelings towards family change; I am much closer to my sister, but the rest of my family is very much in the back of my mind.

Being diagnosed as manic depressive - Explained alot of my feelings, discarded my ideas about mental disorders, made me realise I wasn't perfect. I changed from a very sensible, rational person into an unpredictable and reckless person with little care for where he is going and for some reason a complete lack of care for money beyond what it takes to survive.

Moving to another country on your own - don't need to say much, makes you grow up fast enough.

That sort of thing, you cant really pinpoint it to one event, because different things work together to make you instead of just one big event. Like, my fear of commitment is also probably a result of all my atrocious relationships that collapsed over the years = hard to become attached to new people. Eh, who knows.

I became me when I was about 5-6 years old I think. From then on I understood morality, and acted upon it.

To become me you must look deep inside yourself, and find that snarling, angry creature that seethes with pure anger at the mention of "American Idol." Its a creature that hates people, and their inherent stupidity and backstabbing. A creature that doesn't believe anything good can come out of the human species unless its an accident.

Unless their Bioware, but their all transcended creatures anyways so it doesn't count.
