When did you last get your 'Wow factor' from video games?

Witcher III+Expansion/Dlc...too many to mention, but when O'Dimm walked away while whistling his own "theme" song...I think it was middle of summer and I was shivering.
DLC Whistleblower, recently finished, best horror experience I've had so far...scene when you're helpless in the hands of a serial killer and huge sense of relief when walking out of the place.
Also Dishonored II...really, really great level design.

Probably Dark Souls, when your character meets the giant crow. I haven't got that same sense of WOW from a game since then.

The first time it started raining in Homefront: The Revolution and I looked down to see the pavement under my feet turning wet drop by drop, and also my jeans gradually getting wet.

I remember stopping in the middle of taking my first settlement in Far Cry 3 and going "Wow, this is too much fun".

I honestly can't remember. I've become so disillusioned with modern gaming that I don't think I can get "wow'd" anymore.

I remember some of my wow moments, sure.

Crysis 1, during the tank battles. Watching the mountain come sliding down had my jaw drop.

Bioshock, I was totally impressed by the terror the splicers could engender in me. The mood was perfect.

Half Life 2, though feeling staged now, had some great moments, like RavenHolm, Some of the river chase moments, etc.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl while for pure visual impact more subtle than other games, allowed me to have some moments that felt really, I dunno, personally tailored to each play through.

My last wow moment was probably The Forest, but it wasn't so much a spectacle, as it was a realization paired with a hideous encounter.

Also Brutal DooM by showing how modded 22years old game can be much more fun than 90% of modern fps's

Get Project Brutality and play it with the Zandronum engine. Oh yissss

Yesterday/Today while playing through Oxenfree. I thought I'd enjoy it and I really did. But it was when things started to get super weird that I realised I'd gotten really attached to the characters. When I reached the end I was just wowed and had to sit back and soak it all in (and now I've gotta take a break before hitting up a new game).

Getting into the Ragalia with my buddies for the first time on Final Fantasy XV.

The whole grand scope of the world just instantly awed me. It was something very refreshing, and something a video game has not been able to do for quite some time. I couldn't even begin to make plans on where to go first just with how large it all is right from the get go.

The whole game continues to leave me going "wow..." whether it come from a battle, a car ride, or something small like how interactive an NPC is.

Tyranny. Obsidian WoWed me with the depth of their writing, and the causality of my decisions. I really like this gamestyle and I haven't seen it anywhere else before.
