I've recently been watching the "Metro 2033" trailers and am getting quite excited about it.
if there is one game type I really enjoy, it's an apocalypse game based in the smoldering ruins of once great countries and their main cities and frankly after playing fallout 1, 2,and three only to hear about this game and the possibility of another fallout game in the future, I keep asking myself as a English man.......

when does Britain get it's own post apocalypse game???
anyone else out there wondering when we get the chance to wonder about ruined London and Newcastle etc with a fatboy????

Isn't Hellgate: London supposed to be similar?

So there aren't any mods to make Fallout 3 UK-fied so that you can be at least held over?

A game Officially set in Britian might be interesting, but I feel more like seeing an Irish one for some reason.

I would love that to death and back.

Especially if they actually based it on a real city.

It'd be like The Getaway, but tastefully remodeled. With nukes.

I'd buy it.

EDIT:

whenever you get British developers that can be assed to make one. but seriously after three do you want a fallout London?
If by "three" you mean Fallout 3, then most definitely and emphatically yes. I would love to see the ruins of the Houses of Parliament and wonder Windsor Palace, taking the UK from the same 1950's era, however, I think the UK would be a rather bland compared to the US, culture would need to be set prior, more Victorian if anything, giving the whole of the UK, or at least Greater London a "Steam-Punk" feel.

fallout (the good ones) is already steam punk in space (I have to use that phrase more often)
That's harsh to say, I never played the first ones, and now, I just can't bring myself to. There is a limitation to the graphics for me, call me shallow, but know I still rate FF8 as one of my favourite games ever, and Future Cop LAPD, but, I can't bring myself to look at the graphics, for the extended periods of time the games would deserve and for my favourite games do deserve. I mean just an hour ago I started and stopped playing FF7, wow, I used to think it looked good.

Sounds like I missed out though, it could also explain everyone elses obsession with steam punk...

Hey thats right.....
I think we should all get together in front of bethesda studios and set up a protest!

"We the unified gamers sociaty demand remakes of fallout in our respective countries, be it Africa, England, Canada or China"

Band together all ye who wish for fallout England, Fallout Brazil and Fallout Falkland islands editions!!!

Our will shall not be denied!!!

actually my obsession with steam punk (which fallout isn't, fallout is like steam punk for the future but it's not cyber punk which is why I say steam punk in space) comes from clockwork and magic. you just don't combine those two unless you're willing to accept the risk of people's heads exploding. and if you can stand to look at FF7 (Dear god that's horrible! and what's wrong with those graphics?!) how can you not play Fallout?
Haha, fair enough, I prefer the sleek Star trek look to things myself. I couldn't stand to look at 7, I didn't even make it to the first save point, I would like a PS3 remake so, so much, I only wanted to play it because I saw some Crisis Core videos on youtube, so now I want a PSP and Crisis Core, and then wanted to get back into the story. Damn my gaming shallowness.
