I can't believe that in the year 2012, there is someone who'd rather go through the effort of typing out 43 words, clicking various buttons on their keyboard 219 times, and clicking the mouse two or three times, and then wait for 16 minutes to learn of the release date of Twilight: Breakin Dawn part 2 by posting a thread on here, than doing that by typing 5 words, a grand total of 30 button presses and having to click their mouse once on the URL bar, and then the Enter button once when one has finished typing in the phrase "Twilight: Breaking Dawn part 2".

And voila, only about half a minute and, okay, a second mouse click later, you would've been on the IMDb page, with the movie's release date clearly written out for you, in a clear font that I'm sure everyone can read.

Magic!
But then you don't get the added hilarity of closet twi-hards awkwardly half admitting their love for the series, in a kind of hook, line and sinker approach of finding a similarly minded person!

From this thread I am now under the impression that Flailing_Escapist and Root_of_all_Evil are closet bella-fans...

You seem to have put a lot of thought into this.

And to add some words to this post, Mods please feel free to edit whatever you like here.

Mod Edit: I love the Twilight series and will be seeing this one in theaters. I didn't even have to look up the date, and did that just because it is helpful for the OP. Really, I have an Edward calendar and I cross out every day as a countdown to when I can see Breaking Dawn: Part 2.

Sas Edit: Dude, you forgot to mention the Edward boxers as well! D:

Other Mod edit: Wait, how does he know about your boxers?! Are you cheating on me? I thought we had something special! You said you'd sparkle for me....

Editor Sass: Well, you're in two minds, you fancy that guy who always has his shirt off as well. I've seen you looking, don't deny it.

Other Mod Edit: Jacob understands me! *sobs*

Mod Edit: That's why I love Edward and his terribly kept sideburns! Why else would I have boxers and a calender dedicated to him?
Reading this post made reading the entire rest of this Twilight hate-fest totally worth it

Merely observant! Why else would a thread such as this get so much attention on a site which is not known for its hating...

There may be a dash of personal experience in there too! ;)

It's good to know when this is out, that way I can go to my secret, 1 mile underground bunker to hide from sheer magnitude of awfulness and the drooling fan girls.

Actually that would be a cue for faking a love of twilight to get laid but Twighlight preaches crap like no sex before marriage so it would be a waste of time :p

Is it only a hate fest when X% of people like it?

Cause like if we started ranting about how horrible genocide was, would that be a genocide hate fest? Or would we just be accurately describing genocide?

I know this sounds like a smart ass post, but I'm being mostly genuine. Would we consider a westboro baptist church thread a "WBC hate-fest"? Or would we legitimately see their hate mongering as something to complain about.

Because there is some genuinely dark stuff being peddled in the Twilight books, I thought for a bit it was written by a guy who disliked women.

You make a valid point, and I never said that the hate was undeserved, it's simply predictable, and a bit frightening that the people who hated on it when it first came out still have the energy to be as vehement in their animosity today. Personally I can't stand the books, for the exact reasons you allude to, but I'd rather the entire series just faded into obscurity thanks to people ignoring it's existence, rather than giving it free publicity by bashing it every chance I get.

Not really, I'm a huge fan of Paranormal Romance, but Twilight is the News of the World of Paranormal romance.

Aah... Barely adequate, and not much depth, but OK to pass a bit of time, if there is nothing else around...? And only if someone else had already bought it... waste not, want not right?

If you can ignore the blatant fails in logic, biology, politics, women's rights, story telling etc.
And the severe damage it's doing to the lives of those involved - and the clones produced from it - and the fact that even Twilight is better in the books than the films.

That's what really destroys the argument. By giving it legitimacy, we've allowed it to taint everyone that touched it; otherwise it could have been a harmless piece of fan-fiction like My Immortal. Migraine inducing, but comforting to those that wish it.

I'm only asking because I want to see MovieBob talk about it and be able to predict when he takes on the second part of the 4th Stephanie Meyer travesty she calls a book.
Oh don't worry, my friend, Bob is going to talk about it. Bob loves him some vitriol to spit at a legitimately bad (and culturally dangerous) movie.

He'll probably do it the week after it comes out.

I'm sorry, but I feel somebody should point this out. The release date for Part 2 has been set since part 1 came out this last November. Did it not occur to you to simply google the title of your thread to find your answer?

November, eh? I say we have a big escapist meet up and all go and watch it. Just for shits and giggles. Want to see the looks on teenage girls faces when a bunch of gamers beat them to it and take their place in the cinema.
No one should add to its box office, people who just see it to make fun are just as bad if not worse than the people who like it.
The cinemas are going to be sold out anyway and all the fans will go watch it 5 times in the opening week. So yeah, might just as will piss off a few of them, eh? ;)
Sounds like someone really just wants to see the movie... Don't be shy, no need to hide behind your false mockery and schemes, just don't say anything at all and you'll be fine ;)
