This goes for games, and your reaction.

I think Fallout has spoiled me in this regard. Whenever somebody pissed me off, or I wanted what they had. I just killed them. So now, this is generally my reaction when my temper is flared.

So what do you do when a character makes you mad?

EDIT: The only real time this happened was in Baldur's Gate 2. When you went to the keep and killed all the trolls there, and freed her royal bitchiness. Remember the dude that was guarding her? He said "Thank god you here, If I had to spend any more time with her, I'd hand her over to them myself!

I killed her, but my reputation went down. So I loaded a save, and let here live.

It depends if there is no consequence for killing them, then that's what I will do.
However if there is some kind of consequence like there is in fallout, then I'll just leave them be. Or I could kill them in secret when no one is looking, what ever works.

Well there are occasionally really stubborn AI enemies in games like Halo or Gears of War that just refuse to die and keep on attacking me... that drives me up the wall. I will aggressivley chase down that one AI and keep mercilisly striking until they finally kick the bucket.

Also of course when a character in a game does something evil, I get angry. But I never kill and NPC just for disagreeing with them, unless they are heartless murdering biogts who justfiy themeselves by considering everyone who isn't the same race as them as being 'inferior inbred scum'... 'cause in that situation I let them die by the inches.

When some game character pisses me off to no end,i make sure he DIES. Horribly. And painfully. Preferably by getting his head ripped off and his body blasted into tiny bits. But most NPCs i met are relatively intact - i'm Chaotic Good, not Chaotic Psychotic.

I usually kill them, or at the very least shoot them. When playing Rainbow Six Vegas I'd shoot my teammates anytime they made some smart-ass comment about me being in the way.

in fallout, I wait for the right time, and then after I kill them, I get out my railway rifle and pin their dead bodies to the first building in the town or the largest place closest to me.

Depends what type of game I am playing and what character I am. In Halo, with the stupid NPCs, I killed them, because they pissed me off. However, in RPGs, I kill or grit my teeth, depending on whether I'm playing as evil or good.

In Oblivion, though, with that bastard Khajiit in The Dark Brotherhood,
I couldn't because of the Tenants, but then with the mission where you slaughter the whole Sanctuary, I couldn't wait. Then he apologised and I felt really bad (before killing him, because plot > apologies).

it depends on who they are and if they are important and if it will bite me on the ass later on, but if they get all up in my grill its castration time

Seeing as I mostly only play Fallout 3, yeah. I kill them.

How in god's name did Reilly refuse to reward you? I got the key to the bunker and free run of their gear! I thought that was... I thought that was normal...

On a semi-related topic, a certain special someone pissed me off. I detonated a nuclear bomb in front of her shop. I didn't know she'd come back as a ghoul! :(

In games? Depends on whether it's a roleplaying game or not. For instance, in a GTA game, they'd be dead the second they said the "FU--" in "FUCK YOU". In games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion, I usually let them live, as I can never bring myself to play a really evil dude.

Yes, I do consider the consequences usually.

With Fallout 3, I checked online to see what would happen if I killed somebody. Like the scavenger/merchant. I thought..."Instead of paying for this stuff, why don't I just kill him, take his stuff and his caps." Yeah, I'm a heartless bastard in games.

But they're not real, which makes me feel apathetic towards most of them.

if it's people, i.e. in CoD4 or some similar game, I mute them, if it's an NPC of some kind, if at all possible I kill them, otherwise I never converse with them again.

I tend to avoid the pointless killing, as long as there is some advantage to having them alive.
Slippy doesn't count, he's DEAD.
