Oh and there was a BAUS moment in a recent LoL match with my premade team. I saved the FUCK out of our AD carry with support Lulu when this fucking Kha'Zix dared to focus him. Flash into Glitterlance into Exhaust into polymorph then before he could hit him again I ulted and shielded our Ezreal and at that point we easily 1v2'd him despite our Ez being on the brink of death 2 seconds ago

My best two LoL games...on both occasions we lost one player at the very start.

First, we lost a jungling Shaco to a disconnect (no raging, no whining, just a straight drop when he was finishing his path the first time). I was a Katarina, and me and an Irelia carried the game, which dragged out quite a while due to the opposing team having an obnoxiously competent Rammus trolling us all the time (the other two people often ended up getting offed, and even as strong as we were, Irelia and I couldn't push on our own when they all turtled in their base). Still, even outnumbered we pushed to a win...the end score in kills was like 85-49 or something. That Rammus really caused us a lot of delays. And we all stayed in the after-game chat a while, just laughing at what a crazy game it was.

Second, a Lulu rages for nobody choosing a "proper" jungler (we had Heimerdinger in the jungle IIRC), ragequits and says "I'll just tab in at 20 to surrender". By 20, I was an IndestructoPlank, and we were leading 15-5, with two lanes on enemy inhibitor turrets, and that Lulu actually pops up a surrender vote. We don't, Lulu stays in and rages. We proceed to win, and Lulu seemed downright offended that we won with 4. Rages in post-game chat too, gets promptly reported by everyone who was in the game.

Well the Shaco's first problem was that he was clearing his jungle path in the first place. His ISP must have noticed this and cut his Internet for the day :3

A good Shaco starts at the enemy Red Buff then sets up his signature Death Bush next to Wraiths for the solo Q idiots to walk through instead of taking the long way and/or warding.

I'm waiting for the day we gang up on a Shaco waiting in his Death Bush 3v1 because I made our support ward it beforehand... Whenever I do take that precaution he does not show up at all. One day Shaco... One day.

I'm annoyed that people don't build Critplank more often. Sure it's gimmicky but fuck me the Parley damage is STUPID! Tankplank is the most viable, Critplank is hilarious and Bankplank is the hidden OP.

I would have to say my "badass" moment was 3 boxing Everquest for 5 days straight (getting up for bathroom/food) while camping the FBSS (flowing black silk sash) in lower guk. My younger brother and dad were working, and I was camping it so all of our characters would get one.

On the Morning of the 5th day, I apparently passed out, and faceplanted into my keyboard due to caffine/energy drinks no longer keeping me awake, and slept (on my keyboard) for 16 hours straight, as my dad thought it would be okay to just let me sleep there.

When I woke up, I had "jkl;" imprinted on my forhead, as my lovely keyboard had raised keys :s.

To contribute to the thread, my most badass time in gaming was in TF2 when I became one of those snipers who could headshot you at any range with very little warning. My favourite were the ones at point blanc. It lasted about 2 weeks then I stopped playing as I realised what I had actually achieved... I don't snipe much when I play tf2 any more, playing as Solly demo or scout seems like much more fun.

Surely any one who has sniped a helicopter out the sky in battlefield feels like a badass as well. Never forget that moment, wasn't extreme range, but it was on the far side of medium, and it was flying at a angle not straight at me.

One particular game I was jungling against a Malphite player, I proceeded to stay in or atleast near his jungle camps at all times! by the enemy surrender at 20 minutes he was level 6 (he didn't go AFK, he just kept dying).

I can't say I've ever achieved anything in a game I would be able to call a true challenge to the "average" gamer.

I certainly felt like one once in college. God of War had been out for awhile, but God of War 2 hadn't been released yet. I lived in a suite with 3 other guys. We had some neighbors who had played on God mode but gave up at a certain point in Pandora's temple where you fight several Cerberus clones (Ceberi?) and put the game behind them. Later, I managed to get to that point on God mode and I beat them. I called our neighbors over and I had eight guys excitedly cheering me on as I made my way through the rest of the game. There was thunderous cheering behind me when I finally shoved the large sword through Ares. At the time, I definitely felt like a god.

There was a time in BF:BC2 multiplayer where, for whatever reason, I pulled off an ambush that never should have succeeded. It was a game of Rush on that one Brazilian jungle map (can't remember the name) and I was playing Recon class at the time. I managed to slip into enemy territory undetected so I could get a good rearview of their MCOMM stations (or whatever they were called), then lo and behold, about fifteen meters in front of me was a full squad (4 players; 1 Support, 2 Engis, 1 Recon) with their eyes facing the stations. Now, looking back, I probably could have taken them out with my rifle with little to no trouble, but for some reason I was possessed to charge in with my sidearm, an M1911. I managed to kill the Support guy and one Engi with headshots (admittedly, that was mostly luck because I was firing like mad) while the second Engi I had taken out with three rounds to the chest, the last one that was fired being the the last in the magazine. Thankfully the enemy Recon soldier either failed to notice or was just dumbfounded as to how his squadmates were dropped like flies, because I somehow was (if only just) able to get behind him for a knife kill. So, our team advanced with a little less trouble, achieved victory, and I walked away withsome shiny dogtags and a cool story under my belt. Made me feel even more badass than the time I scored a rather surprising double-headshot.

Back when I was in school me and some friends had a CS 1.6 clan and would game together for hours every night. Got ourselves into clan matches, LAN tournaments and stuff and we were pretty good, coming relatively near the top in ranks. One time me and a friend entered a server and after some trash talk and claims of cheating we ended up in a 2 vs 10 match against the server and the 2 of us won. We felt pretty awesome after that.

When I played BF2 I was a pretty good blackhawk pilot, go squad captain and work like a mobile spawn point. Got my team into some good capture point steals and out again before we all got shot to shit.

Kinda miss playing those games now.

Once apon a time, while I was playing Prototype 2, a bonus said not to take any damage from the giant Goliath. I sat throwing cars at it for a while, mentally said 'fuck the bonus' and jumped from the building just to cut it's legs off and give it's head a beatdown without getting hurt once.
Nightwish played endlessly that moment.

Maybe not gaming badass, but gaming determinator. Anyone remember Demon Stone for the Xbox and PS2? No? Okay the skinny; it was a Dungeons and Dragons hack and slash beat'em up with three switchable characters, lot's of baddies and scenario's to play through(anything from a raging battlefield to a stealth assault on an ancient temple) with good graphics for the time and a better than average story. Well in the penultimate battle, you face an Adult Red Dragon(anyone familiar with 3rd edition D&D knows these bastards are bad news). He's been hounding you since the beginning of the game and it's finally time to end his threat.

Well, the finale with him takes place in his lair. You destroy his wings, forcing him onto the ground. When you finally do get his health to nil, you have to cast a Charm Monster spell on him to start the final kill sequence. Only issue, if you do not stand in the PERFECT(and I mean PIXEL PERFECT) position in relation to him the spell bounces off. I did this for 5 hours, and the bounced off spells have the (until then) unforeseen effect of damaging my Sorcerer. Yeah, so after I killed myself the first two times I tried different positions.

Did I mention I was doing this after a 12 hour shift of loading trucks in the middle of the night? Anyway I finally get that part down, now I have to jump up to lower his head within striking distance with the Rogue. Same issue, though not as bad as the first. It would NOT INITIATE IT UNLESS IT WAS IN A VERY VERY VERY specific spot in relation to the dragon. FINALLY after about 6 hours(yes six hours, I was on the cusp of beating it and wanted very badly to) I finally managed to beat the damn thing. It stressed me out so much though I got some hives from it that quickly cleared up afterwards.

Still like that game though.

EDIT: I JUST REMEMBERED A TRUE "gaming badass" moment now. It was back when Call of Duty: World at War was still popular. Having had enough of the rifle grenade spam, I put Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in my 360 and played a match or two. Thirty seven and two by the end of the match, I actually got full kill streaks several times. The best I've ever played in any multiplayer versus mode to date.

OT: the only time that comes to mind right now was when halo 3 was still new I was playing online on the map that is just a bridge and I took out the other team of 5 twice with out dying, I felt pretty awesome and then the final score was other team 20ish my team 30ish and I had 25 kills haha

I was practicing with tournament level players in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift on 360 when it first came out, and I got so good with Iron Tager that a lot of my friends labelled him as "cheap" and refused to fight me when I used him. So then I started getting good with Carl Clover, whom I hate using now because he just can't take a hit like Tager.

Did you see his buffs and new moves is Chrono Phantazma? He is a freakin' beast now! Seriously, check his japanese arcade matches.

OT: Well, since I must exclude times when feeling as a "badass" was a whole purpose of the moment (blowing the bosses head with scream in Brutal legend, for example), I'll mention other ones.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer. I just got the Turian soldier class and I've decided to try him out. Played on gold against Cerberus. Wave 10. The mission is to deffend the console while data is uploading. Everyone but me is dead, and I hold my possition against a swarm of enemies plus Atlas. The data is uploaded, but I am cornered by Phantom, who destroys my shields. Turian must die honorably, I thought and unleashed my blades. I am dead, but mission is completed.

It felt like a some kind of fan-fiction story.

Also, deffending a control point as Heavy together with Medic for about 7 minutes in Team Fortress 2.

Then I realized that WoW was a giant waste of my time and I was way too into the game.

In the summer of 2007 I had surgery on my right wrist which left my arm and hand in a cast with my thumb immobilized. I was really into Gears of War multiplayer back then, and I didn't want to let the fact that I could only use my right index finger to play with no aiming ability stop my fun. SO MUCH PISTOL WHIPPING AND CHAINSAW KILLS. I made very few friends during that summer.

Left 4 Dead finale. After all three teammates died to a lucky Tank, I stayed alive for five whole minutes by myself against four Infected players. I killed two Tanks and half a dozen of each other Special, plus gods only know how many common infected. I'm not normally so good, but that one occasion I got a taste of what tournament winners must feel like all the time.

This one time I was drunk as hell and playing Dead Space 2. I got to the part where the babies crawled down the wall at you in like chapter 8? or 9? just before the tripod nest and I picked off every single one of them with head shots with the seeker rifle before they even got close to the floor.

I am SO picking up a bottle of grey goose to go with Dead Space 3 on the 5th.
