Do you ever imagine characters as certain actors? Even if the character description is nothing like the actors appearance? And if so, who did you imagine playing the character?
I'm reading 'Shogun' by James Clavell, and for me, John Blackthorne is Liam Neeson.
Also, when I read 'The Stand' by Stephen King, Larry Underwood was played by Woody Harrleson.

I make my own image up based on the description, which is why when movies are announced I automatically proclaim it WORST ADAPSHUN EVAR.

However, I do imagine them with actor's voices sometimes, out of habit. All villains sound like Alan Rickman in my head.

I have a hard enough time remembering anything about any actors, so to use them in my imagination? No. I generate my own images and voices for the characters.
If it's a good book, I'll probably redevelop random parts of the story in my head, or use parts of the story/characters in some kind of new scenario.

I'm aware enough to know that writing these things down would not be for the best, so in my head they stay :p
