Well its worth pointing out nothing worth talking about is happening. Bethesda is fucking up again, Warner Bros hates their customers, Nintendo is desperately hacking Mario with another IP to make it fresh, and Overwatch is gonna get a new character. Same shit as 6 months ago.

I'm sorry, but are you really arguing that we haven't seen any new articles lately because the crew is sitting on their asses, waiting for something interesting to happen?

And that Half-Life 3 blognote is the first really newsworthy thing that happened to that franchise in years.

Well if you want they can do a bunch of Top 5 best Zelda Swords and You Won't Believe what Samus Aran looks like now! articles. Its technically content.

But if you want actual news posts, then yeah, something of note needs to happen first. That's kinda how reporting and news works.

What an amazing coincidence that for two weeks in a row there're no journalists to report the news and at the same time there's nothing newsworthy to report. What a stroke of luck. You'd think there's some weird cause and effect going on between the two.

It doesn't matter whether you don't like it or have never played the series - the plot to one of the most awaited games in the history of gaming getting leaked is news. The only reason it wasn't reported here was because there was no one around to do it.

If we're seriously pulling out the "there's no news" excuse, please be aware that Overwatch is currently going through some of the biggest changes in the game's history. The most-played hero - bar none - is being redesigned to the point where the iconic "Heroes never die! *5-man rez*" thing is a thing of the past.

And there hasn't been a peep out of the Escapist about it.

I've mentioned this before, and I'll plant my flag here too. This place is no longer a magazine. It's not. It has no writers, no editors, no newshounds. There are no articles because the single guy paid to do that is gone.

I've been trying to express that that mentality of thinking of this as a magazine is over. The business side of the Escapist has parted ways. This site is community driven alone, and someone from up the chain should push to try to get charity from those left. We are our own entertainers now, and the only ones left to try fill the content gap.

Alright, this one has been answered and now it's just kind of bickering over news stories that could be ran so I'm going to go ahead and put a bullet in this one.
