Where did I put it?

Okay, I tend to misplace things because my short term memory is crap but I have decent long term memory. I have misplaced things in odd places such as my keys in my fridge or a book in a hamper. Go ahead and laugh.

I recently lost my wallet and haven?t been able to find it. At first, I assumed that it was nicked by my toddler but after searching the house, it?s not there. I don?t know why someone would want my wallet. There was no money in it and no debit or credit cards but there were ID?s in it. I filed a police report but I really can?t afford to replace some of the cards but I have to because of the laws in my area. So have you guys misplaced something and did you find it? If so, where?

I lost my glasses when i last moved, i found them after a year or two

On a more humorous note, i lost the rifle scope fastener rings that i got with my dad's old Tikka yesterday, i wandered around for like an hour with the scope in my hand looking, and then when i go to put the scope back and give up, i see that the scope had been laying right on top of them.

I've actually misplaced my (former) glasses in a washing machine. I can tell you right now that the end result there wasn't pretty.

I once lost a Zelda game cartridge for my game boy. I found it 4 years later on my closet shelf a place I had looked over a dozen times. A closet that I had cleaned out over and over the course of those years and suddenly it just appears out of nowhere.

I was like

crap like that happen all the time. When I lose something I just accept it doesn't want to be found at the moment and I will stumble across it eventually.

I have never misplaced an item in my life, for I am perfect in all ways.

Sarcasm aside, when I lose something I can never find it by trying, no matter how long I look for it. I only find things serendipitously. If I need to find something, I just have to wait until I lose something else.

The only recent exception was when I lost my laptop cord. I looked for hours, gave up, tried to buy a new one but they didn't have the right kind, so I looked some more and found it under a pile of junk in an old defunct bedroom.
