Cheers for the replys =P
When I wrote it, I did not think about it actually, but I am painfully aware of the meaning of the word... I first heard and used it in a gaming setting, so to me it is a gaming term. What a shock it was when I was told what it actually meant. Honestly I thought the fuss about the word had died by now hehe. Although, it seem to have worked in my favor when it comes to the thread title. =P
Anyhow, I also know full well why it was not the best of ideas, with OP characters and balance issues, and yea they could be annoying as hell, but that was not my point or question.
I liked it, and were curious if it was still around somewhere so I could still do it. I know AO still runs, but... eh... it's a relic to say the least.
Keep in mind that making a godly character is not all bad. The ones I made, I used only to help people get some common items from instances or whatever, since getting a group could sometimes be a huge pain.
Or transport people around via the grid, and a mission blitz now and then.
Maybe I was one of few, that loved doing this, and never did any harm with it. Hell I never even trained ToTw, and if you have ever been to that place you know how common that was.
I worked hard on my twinks too, sometimes I sat for days, sometimes even weeks, and imo it involved a fair bit of skill and knowlage.
But then, I keep forgetting how different things was back then. All I know is that after rediscovering it in Torchlight, I still find it just as fun and rewarding as killing stuff. Gives me something else to do, like a game within the game, how far can I take it?
Come to think of it, some people even saw it as some sort of sport, trying to push it futher then the next guy just to do it, not even using the character for anything.
All I was wondering was if I was alone in this, in this day and age.
