Just wanted to know where you guys get your news from. I get mine from http://www.current.com. I go there because the news stories are submitted by the users, so the inevitable bias is inevitably balanced out with more.

BBC News [http://news.bbc.co.uk/] always does the job for me. There's no political agenda, though of course that doesn't stop lefties accusing them of right-wing bias and vice versa.

Honestly?
Nowhere in particular.
I get tidbits of information here and there, and if something sounds interesting to me, I look into it more at home.
With google.

The Colbert Report.
That's pretty (for lack of a better word) awesome. I still think South Park's a better place to get news, though, because they cover the things that actually matter. Not having a daily show forces you to.

TV, newspapers, my mind, here.

Basically anywhere I can get to in under 5 minutes.

I never even thought about that but your right. But the latest episodes topic is a little dated if you ask me.

A combination of whatever I see on the MSN homepage before I go to something else and, of course, the good ol' Escapist.

I get most of mine from this site actually.

I tend to be out of touch with what's going on in the world, due to not really caring, and the news posted here is often at least interesting.

I read a newspaper when my parents actually get one, but aside from that and here, I don't get any news.

When I watch the news, this is all the time. - I never watch the news.
If everything you said was a lie, that would be what you mean. Except that paradox there.

I get my gaming news here, I barely listen to worldly news anyway.

Daily Show, BBC and CBC. CBC is basically a slightly crappier version of BBC, but easier to access since I'm in Canada. I lawl at the Americans who have to deal with the collective bunch of shit made up of MSNBC (they treat Obama like Twilight fan girls treat Robert Pattinson), FOX (who thinks Obama killed their babies, raped their daughters, and is the combination of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and some crazy Muslim Kenyan witch-doctor), and CNN (uninteresting, not extremely biased, but also don't really do their jobs well).

I get just about all of mine from the New York Times.

I don't believe any serious tv-based news source is inevitably biased and voided.

Mainly from TV, but I also use local news sites from time to time. The only times I read printed news is when I'm on the train and find one of those free newspapers, that are being handed out at railway stations.

This is really the only place that I get my news from. Chances are, if it wasn't on here then it probably wont interest me. Even stuff posted by members and not official news contributors are usually more interesting then anything I find on the news.

Thank you for the comparison, which I definitely don't recall asking for but probably did anyway.

There's no point in lying on the internet.
There's no challenge, (nobody can see your face, hear your voice, or read your body language. You have all the time in the world to decide what to say) no reward, (for the same reason there's no challenge - you don't get to see the effects.) and no point (if everyone can do something, why bother?)

See, I'm a liar by nature. -Paradox
Probably one of the best. -Probably one of the worst.
So I generally know when I'm being lied to. -I have no idea when people lie to me
1. No. People have to be taught to lie, either through experience or what have you. My natural response is to lie. Always. Telling the truth is an effort of will.
2. You or me? 'Cause you've never met me, so I assume it's you you're speaking of. But people assume so much.
3. Cool. But I do.
What? I wasn't comparing anything... I was just stating how those things would look if they were all lies? Where did I say that the additions were all about me? Still lying?

Mostly from the BBC, CBC, and Al-Jazeera English, although whenever I can find one for free I like to pick up the area newspapers. The problem is that all of the local daily newspapers in Vancouver are owned by the right-wing Canwest-Global corporation, which doesn't allow for much ideological diversity.

I work for a newspaper, too, so I also read a handful of press wires.
