but my dream is to live on a lake in a forest not to far away from civilization
in some kind of heinleinesque utopia ( like the one from "for us the living")

I'm really considering moving to Pennsylvania either after or for college.

Good prices on land, looser gun laws, lower cost of living, and not unreasonably far from my friends and family back in New York.

Country
United Kingdom
Well, I'm OK living in England but I'd really like to move closer to a city, probably London or Southampton. Country life gets dull after 19 years of it.

England has great mobile phone plans from what I hear and good public transport. Canada has neither.
I can tell you from experience, both are really meh. My mobile phone plan is OK but I'm paying like 10p a text which eats money. And you're probably gonna get shifty looks on a bus or tube train just for being a Yank and looking a wee bit different.

But it does have more me here then America.
So, don't let that sway you at all.

For me, I want to move south, to FLORIDA!!!

I love it down there and hate living in Alabama
Florida boy here, advising against it. There's nothing here but crack, meth and whores, as well as asshole cops and a vast population of ignorant uneducated people. Oh, and Disneyland.

OT: I want to move to Seattle, or near it. From what I hear it has decent beaches, nice forests and plenty of coffee shop and book stores. Just my kind of place.

Austin (my current residence) represents an enormous improvement over Amarillo and I am currently content. Unfortunately, none of the companies I desperately want to eventually work for are located here, but then there are plenty of companies that I'd like to work for in the area (just not quite so much that I'd describe it as desperate).

An English and native speaking Franco-Japanese utopia where the Cherry trees are always in bloom and the women are always beautiful.

I would want to live on the moon in my doom fortress with a stargate link set up with a iris defense system on it.

Somewhere that has seemingly endless hills of grass and flower fields, with snow capped mountains in the distance... Where ever a place like this may be...

Or at least somewhere that experiences all seasons...

Japan would also be nice...
Norway? Rolling hills with grass and flowers with snow capped mountains in the distance, and that experiences all seasons...sounds like Norway.

I want to live in Berlin. Lived there for three years and it's the most amazing city in the world (and ive been to many citites). I'd move back in a heartbeat.

I would want to stay in ontario, but have a cottage up in the isolated wilderness, a condo in the Tropics for SCUBA diving, and a chalet in the Rockies (Or coastal mountains) for skiing.

Mars. Internet connection would suck but how cool would it be if I were able to say
"Damn man I have a flight home in 2 hours. I'm afraid I have to go now"
"You have to really? When is the next flight I'll buy you a ticket for that"
"Oh not long, 1,5 year"
"WHAT? Where the hell do you live"
"Mars."

[sub][sub]for all those who didn't get it. Every year and a half Mars is closest to our Earth so that seems like the only good time to actually fly there. And yeah that's those 3 years. If you flew out at the wrong time not only would there be a high chance of missing it but also it would take 7-10 more[/sub][/sub]
