Hmmm....

Roleplaying pen-and-paper games, like Dark Heresy. My weekly session with friends has become a highlight of my week.

The Mass Effect series. I only got into it last year, and it's my favourite game series (even with the ending).

Warhammer 40,000. I just love it so. And a lot of my friends play, so more socialising.

And believe it or not, My Little Pony. Not everything has to be grimdark for me to like it.

Violin. I fell helplessly in love with the violin a couple of days ago. I really wish it'd happened sooner, but oh well.

First and most obvious; my children.

Bands/artists: Infected Mushroom, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Ludovico Einaudi
Authors/books: William Gibsons 'Neuromancer' series, Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' Trilogy, anything by Isaac Asimov
Games: Neocron, Deus Ex, and also Mass Effect series

All the things above have consumed a large portion of the past 10 years of my life. There's plenty of other stuff I like or even love however within minutes of any of these things entering my life I couldn't imagine being without.

Two years ago I listened to Rush for the first time and I've never looked back. They are heaven.
Same story this year with Dream Theater. It took me this long?!

Three years ago I started getting into comic books. In that time I've spend well over £1000 on comic books in trade and single issue. I can't believe I've not been reading them since I was little.

Berserk (the comic)

I never bothered with it after I saw the first 2 episodes of the anime, which were fucking terrible. Then a few years back in a state of utter boredom I decided to check it out, and now it's the best thing I have ever read. And I've read Watchmen and Lord of the Rings.

the only thing I can think of is green tea fried ice cream.
'fried ice cream'?! What on earth is that?! I've had green tea ice cream... though my sister put too much green tea in it, turned out horridly bitter...

Ehm... gaming? I only started when I was seventeen or so, so I'm a relative latecomer to the hobby...

Other than that... Raymond E Feist books, anime (again, only started watching when I was about nineteen, except for Ghibli movies) & hash browns...

Melon bread.......I cant think of anything more to add to that because the wholesome goodness of the thing just shines through on its own.

Doesn't that kinda apply to anything you like doing? You try it once and think "hey that was great!" so you start doing it regularly.
Or do you just mean things that were right in front of you but for some reason ignored? Until one day you finally tried it and it turned out to be awesome?

If it's the latter, doctor who! I vaguely knew it existed for aeons but only started watching it because friends kept recommending it. Looking back, I really can't remember why I insisted on ignoring it. It's right up my alley!

More recently: realism versus mode in left 4 dead 2. Never tried it because regular versus is what everyone is playing. But once I did I immediatly realized THIS was the game I was hoping to play when I bought the game 500 playing hours ago! Regular versus now feels like a lame practice mode with cheats enabled for the survivors and where half the special infected are useless 95% of the time.

Still a better love story than Twilight.

OT: Ronnie James Dio. I mean, I liked him for a long time, but I manly had what he had done in Black Sabbath. Last year, I finally went through with what I wanted to do a long time ago - get pretty much most of his music. And then I though "Why the fuck haven't I done this sooner?". It was perfect in any way I could imagine - there are no songs I don't like.

Two words "Banoffee muffin" (Banana toffee).
I swear whoever invented that is a god send as it is one of the delicious food I have ever ate! I quite possibly find it mad that Morrison (the place that made and sell) had stop making those! Ok sure they probably fear that it become plain and boring to sell one type over and over but I will be the judge of that!

A genuine Philly Cheesesteak, it'll kill you but oh so worth it.
I'm from eastern PA but live in Texas, and I found a place down here that serves amazing Philly cheesesteaks just like from back home. They even have Tastykakes sometimes. So amazing, but apparently so easy to make completely wrong.

Koei with dynasty warriors and their other unsuccessful spinoffs like bladestorm and Trinity. Every game they make is definitely similar, and I love them to death for it. Don't you ever change, Koei. I love you and will buy your games full price.

Oh and my little pony friendship is magic!!! *runs out the room and slams the door*
