Newegg.com. I get all of my hardware from there, and I've never had a problem with any of it. On top of that, they usually have really good deals running.

Once again, newegg.com.

Not much reason to worry about anything else.

a 200 mhz upgrade is not much of an upgrade, and will likely not give you much of a performance boost.

You're welcome.
That was pretty epic, perks to you.

Now, I'd check out any local stores. I suppose Best Buy may have what your looking for, though a non-franchise store would probably be better.

Amazon perhaps?

It depends on the motherboard. Some motherboards are Intel chipset, others, AMD.

OT: If your bios lets you, you should just overclock it to 3.0. Mine started at 2.66 and I have it running at 3.72. You should even be able to do it without getting a new heatsink because you aren't planning on taking the OC too high. Do some reading on overclocking and get the appropriate temp measuring and stability testing programs and do it for free.

And if you aren't looking to overclock, we need to know what kind of CPU you have now so we don't suggest any incompatible processors.

that upgrade isn't worth it really, you won't notice any real difference

that being said, if you want to waste your money, then go local, i'm pretty sure you can find one cheaper than you can on the net
