in a gator infested swamp. the only problem would be making it the ten odd states between me and Louisianan before it started to smell.

Acid. And then I'd get rid of the bones...err, somehow. To be honest, I reckon I could just chuck the body in the outback and then get the hell out of the country. Australia: a great place to hide bodies.

While acid IS a good idea, I would have to buy the acid, which means leaving some sort of trace. I'd probably burn the body and then run into the woods and dig the ashes down on various places just to be on the safe side. After that I'd just go by with my life ass normal.

Or if I was a freaking psycho, and a genious. I'd make sure there were no prints on the body or anything and leave him at the stairway to the police station with a creepy message attached to the body \o/

....... brb ;o

can you just burn the body in the woods, instead of running there after?

Space. Getting it out there might be a tad problematic, but once I do, that baby's gone.

Incineration, though bone chunks will remain.
Hydrofluoric acid would be ineffective on said bones, thus either crushing until a fine powder like the rest of the corpse or fed to willing (and able) dogs to destroy the evidence.
Also, to dispose of the remaining ashes, mixing them with the normal feed of said dogs, to further render them untraceable.

Alternatively, the bogs here in Ireland are to be left alone (largely) and thus would not be dug up for peat. Thus, a suitably deep grave could be in order, were I pressed for time, though this would not be ideal, as the body would be preserved (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bog_body ).
