Mine came from when I was a LOT younger.. I think.. 13ish.. But yeah, I made this name because I was into Naruto at the time.. And even though I'm no longer a fan, the name as sorta stuck..

Thunder = Pikachu's type (I really loved Pokemon when I came up with it).
13 = My lucky number, also people don't tend to use 13 on the end of their usernames.
o = Thunder13 was taken, also it sounds better.

Another username I sometimes use is Beatle followed by a number, pretty self explanitory.

Most Escapists should know who Headdy is. For those of you who don't...

.

◄ It's this guy.

In some contexts, I still go by Dr. Gunsforhands, a reference to the short-lived True Life Adventures of Brian and Sosa. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, I cannot find the thing anymore, but it was drawn by the guy who did the Red Mage articles on the site that does 8-bit-theater, and it featured a giant spider that was also a captain of industry.

Dr. Gunsforhands was this guy:

I used to be called Dwarf Jesus, named after a silly animation I made that said "All Hail The Dwarf Jesus". It was a project for our web design class (for a flash animation).

So, I used that for most of the time, until I constantly got nagged about how my name was offensive over Xbox live and over a few forums, so I changed it to this.

I find my name ironic because I am 6'1", can't be stealthy worth an inch of my life and my family is atheist.

When I first tried WoW, I decided to spice up the first thing that came up on randomizer.
ROT became Rothope (Rot-hope) but then my guild started calling me "Roth" so it became (Roth-ope)
My escapist name come from the game Postal 2, in which the main character is literally name "The Postal Dude" which surprisingly wasn't taken.

The numbers are a wow guild gone gaming community, named after the zip-code to the town it started in.

It's an obscure reference to the Belgariad series of books. My name is Tom, and in the Belgariad, disciples of Aldur put the prefix Bel- in front of their names.
Nice one. I love those books... I want to read them again, but I know longer go to school, so I can't borrow them from the library... I do own Redemption Of Althalus.

Anyway, mine is a bonus track from the band Children Of Bodom. Just a random jazz track, amidst all the Death Metal...
The keyboardist was trained in jazz for 6 years, so yeah... But yeah, it amuses me, and I figured it would make a cool username. And it's really obscure, I have yet to see anyone else using it...

Rhope? This name came about from MUD experiences and part of a Out Of Character discussion of a typo, I meant to type 'I need rope' and it came out:
"I ned rhope."
I got variations of the typo for hours after wards, ribbing from friends. Eventually it got shorted to just rhope and it stuck.
It became the generic name I used for throw away characters, then it became the user name I used when I was testing out sites or games with a log in.

My current STEAM name was a recent development (Halp!). It first came about as a joke about a game I forgot the name of. The way NPC guards said help when they spotted the player, I had a macro for the sound file of it in some games, use to play it at random intervals.

Shadowsole I thought of it when I was horribly depressed about 8 years ago when i was nine. It was meant to be shadowsoul but I couldn't spell it and I asked my dad, I said "how do you spell soul? not the one on your feet the other one" but he miss heard me (I hope...) so yeah...

I'm also most of the shadowsoles found on google, exsept the WOW one.

Drummie comes from the fact that I am a drummer. 666 comes from a stupid thing some christians say about atheists following satan. (I'm an atheist if you couldn't figure that out from the last sentence.

"It's like...fire. But through a black hole or something. So the fire would be...would be dark. So dark. Fire. Darkfire."

The numbers I've had on my various usernames since I was 8.

Well, Norendithas Songsteel is the full name. To be exact, it is the name of my first D&D character (not the online version, which isn't nearly as good as having a DM), who is a Half Elf Bard.

Honestly, I was bored and I found the awesome flash game site Kongregate. I was in a rebellious mood so I decided to be a wasted youth, since that sounds punk rock-ish. And '89 is the year I was born.
