Playing FTL, all my crew was wiped out besides Hicks (The other 3 were Hudson, Gorman and Ezikiel), my weapons were all down besides my 2 burst laser and the only thing stopping me from dying was my shields, and it was only sector 5... It was Game over, man! Game over!

I made it to the boss with just Hicks, it was kind of awesome how I survived but that is a story for another thread.

In Devil May Cry 3 on DMD when you get hit by the weakest enemy and see the damage that was done to you.

WHERE'S YOUR GOD NOW?!

Finding out Valmar actually killed the god worshipped in Grandia 2 and the church has been advancing the demon's agenda to infest/kill/adulterate/terrorize the entire world lol

Phantasy Star Online, finding out Dark Fallz has 2-3 more forms in the hardest difficulty.
And you were only stocked for maybe 1 and a half.

That moment you uncover the fog of war and see a huge army you didn't expect or prepare for in any RTS.
Pretty much.

You know those big elephants in Rome: Total War?

Fuck those guys.
My brother was playing Rome and charged elephants towards a tiny group of enemies in a forest. Didn't see the double-thick lines of spearmen until right on top of them. Not an elephant survived.

Played through the new DMC on "Dante Must Die!" difficulty. You know that level with those fucking green puddles? That's right, the ones that hurt you, slow you down, interrupt your combos, decrease your combo meter and make it incredibly easy for those charging bastards to get you. Lot's a charging bastards, individual colour waves, mixed colour waves, there's just so much shit going on!

captch: learn from mistakes. I know, that's why I died about a dozen times!

Wait... you've actually seen a halfling take down a troll? SHENANIGANS, I SAY!
I've seen a thrown halfling take down a troll. Way funnier.

Halflings are not players. Halflings are ammunition!

I had one instance in Skyrim where 2 legendary(Ancient?... the toughest ones in the vanilla game) dragons and a Dragon Priest all appeared at once. Poor lydia didn't stand a chance. It was out a word wall, I had just arrived when the randomly spawned dragon appeared, while the other dragon took off from the Word Wall... I ran to the word wall hoping to use its structure as cover from their strafing attacks, but found a Dragon Priest bursting out of its coffin when I approached it.

After around 20 minutes of me chugging potions and liberal use of the Ethereal shout, I finally succumbed.

Epic fight, but I was fucked... I couldn't even run away.
Shearpoint. Its a *****.

I'd like to know where my god is when my opponent in Blood Bowl

-first does a one die block knocking me down (50% chance)
-Dodges (50% chance)
-Picks up the ball (66% chance)
-Passes the ball (50% chance)
-Catches the ball (66% chance)
-Goes for it (about 85% chance)

All in a row, in a single turn to score a touchdown.
Fuck that game.
Nuffle cares not for your petty squabble.
I wish there was a button in the game that warps in Blood Ravens and allows you to watch them massacre the rules.

I'm shit at BloodBowl even on easy difficulty, I screw up too much because I don't really bother with stats, and I don't know all the modifiers, cause the rule book is big enough to collapse into a black hole.

The worst part is when a half-ling takes down a Troll(Orc teams big guy, its either that or an ogre)
Its really quite simple. If you strength is higher than theirs, good, two die for a block. If you double their strength (i think its double) good, you get three.

Good, all you need to know, go kill people.

(I play chaos, I don't need more knowledge than that)

"There always comes a time where one person does something that is so stunning you can't help but respect it, no matter how evil it is. This guy... This guy is an evil legend."

Ah, the legendary Falador Massacre. You know that when the game moderators are panicking, that you have truly screwed shit up.

When you enter certain fog gates in Dark Souls, comes to mind...

in fact, when you enter MOST fog gates in dark souls.
The Capra Demon was only hard because of those two dogs of his. Once you murder those mangy mutts he is a pushover. NOw that bridge with those two Silver Knight Archers on the other hand, or that room before Seathe the Scaleless with all those fucking clams.
Bear in mind first time players will only have a few hours experience by this point, and after polishing off those hollows brandishing massive bleed damage, they're welcomed by demon great machete to the face, in a claustrophobic stairwell.

He's certainly not the toughest boss in Dark Souls, but when you go through that fog gate and pretty much walk into his fist, all I could think the first time was "oh god why"

In Civ 5. Gandhi had just unlocked musket tech and sent 6 units after on of my citys so I sent 10 tank units to mop them up and used one of my subs to send some ICBMs to nuke 3 of his citys. He asked for peace soon afterwards.

I couldn't find the image I was looking for, it was one battlecruiser with about 300 scourges surrounding it. Google search warranted this which is similar

league of legends, when ever you are waiting to recall back to town with low health and the enemy karthus strats channeling requiem (its a move that hits everyone on the map for quite a chunk of your health) and you have nothing available to stop it from killing you.
Another LoL one: leaving a teamfight with ~400 health as the sole survivor on your team, huddling in a shrubbery and willing the recall to channel faster, knowing that you will have to stand alone to stop the entire enemy team from taking your mid inhibitor...and then you see it: the Rocket Grab. Time simultaneously stops and races, your heart skips a beat, and you perceive that the end is near. You try to run, to get even a few inches out of range, you only need a few pixels more to evade the horrible appendage. It is for naught: the terrible machine has you in his mighty grasp and there is no escape. Soon now, the enemy's blades shall find your remaining hit points and rend them from you as you look on in CC'd silence. But you knew that already, didn't you? You knew from the second that golden fist appeared from beyond the fog that this was the only possible outcome.
