Mine is at the dance studio downtown. I enter that cozy room with the red mat and the huge mirror, and somehow everything else melts away for an hour and I forget that there's an outside world. That passion and comradery is what has kept me afloat and far away from apathetic depression for the past four months.

Tell me, friends. Where's your happy place?

My brain, where I can construct any scenario at any time. It's also where I keep the plans for my fantasy novel, so I occasionally do a quick hop in to edit some stuff.

Still, there are times where I wish I could swap my brain out for someone else's >.>

Camping in the woods. It's not really like a place I go when I'm feeling down or anything (I never go alone anyway), but the forest is just a really great place to spend some time. The smells, sounds, and sights of a summer night among the pines is just, well, perfect.

Undoubtedly my happy place.

My martial arts class. So many different people of all ages, all working together as a team but towards our own goals. It's just great.

In my bed asleep, my dreams keep me sane and allow me to escape from my worries.

Then I wake up and I'm sad.

The virtual world, as in video games. When I'm immersed in a single player game or playing with friends in multiplayer, I forget about everything bad in life. The only problem is that I go there so often that the bad things in life are usually more urgent when I come back to reality.

I also get the feeling that someone will say it needs to be a physical place, so alternate answer would be the chair that I play games at.

Im surprised that nobody said that yet, considering that this is a website for gamers.

In my living room chair, with English breakfast tea and a good read at 2 in the morning. Because it's that caffeine in your bloodstream that really kicks you into relaxation mode.

Usually alone with headphones.
There's no issues, there's no conflict. It's just me listening to or composing music.
Being alone with a significant other comes a very close second.

If I didn't have music in my life, I shudder to think what would have happened.

Well, I don't have a happy place exactly.

I find I'm at my happiest when walking to far places with friends.
