So I bought a macbook pro with pretty strong hardware, figuring I could do all my real work on that and install windows 7 on it anyway to play games. Of course playing games requires having them, and since I didnt have any i acquired them from various websites. To acquire games for the mac, all I did was click on the link with the least leechers and then install it and play it as soon as it finished. when I acquire a game for windows, after downloading it I end up patching 32 different things, downloading updates for random programs and downloading completely new programs to unpack the data and yet more new programs to mount the image. Does this work differently if you just buy a Windows or is it always this frustrating and labor intensive?

Why the hell did you buy a mac to put windows on it and play windows games? Seriously, what the hell? You could have gotten a better computer for the same amount you payed for the mac if you got something that has windows.

If you want a computer for work AND games, JUST GET A COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS ON IT. Windows is the only thing that reliably runs games. Even Macs emulating Windows does it horribly, even with good specs.

The vagueness leads me to believe it is piracy. The general conclusion I've come to is that it is more work initially for less hassle overall.

You say "leechers" making me think you're illegally torrenting games. Don't do that.
