I am a big fan of:
- Johhny Depp
- Russel Crowe
- Meryl Streep
- Denzel Washington
and many more.
All these have a tendency of MAKING a film.

Conversely I dislike:
- Keanu Reeves
- Orlando Bloom
- Keira Knightley
- Daniel Radcliffe
and again many many more.
They've got one thing in common on this list: wooden.

Let's hear peoples' opinions!

Meryl Streep is great, along with Julie Walters, Colin Firth, Emily Blunt and a few others. They seem to have actual talent, and are versatile enough to have done a range of roles.

Ones I dislike? Hugh Grant and Anne Hathaway, among others. For exactly the same reason. For the past decade or two Hugh Grant has played the same role in every single film he's done - average white Brit male who is socially inept. As for Anne Hathaway, the whole starting off unaccepted geeky girl then makeover and she's popular is getting old.

Love:
Hugh Laurie (For obvious reasons)
Olivia Wilde (Gorgeous and talented. what's not to like?)
Leonardo DeCaprio (or at least his performances in Blood Diamond and The Departed)
Brad Pitt (Can do both comedy and drama flawlessly. See Snatch for proof.)
Simon Pegg
Chi McBride (See Pushing Daisies. Emerson Cod was the best character on that show)
Ellen Page
Zach Braff (See Garden State. Can actually play serious characters. Can write them, too.)
Robert Downey Jr.
Kristen Stewart (Supprisingly enough, actually can act when she has something good to work with. See Adventureland, Into the Wild.)
Jeff Bridges (Just for playing "The Dude" in The Big Lebowski)
Natalie Portman

Hate:
Jessica Alba (Pretty, but she can't act.)
Eugine Levy (What was his most recent movie American Pie 7? Case closed.)
Paris Hilton (Just die already.)
Ben Affleck (See him in Pearl Harbor. His delivery of some lines caused me physical pain)

Christian Bale
Ian McKellen
Ewen MacGregor
Liam Neeson
Viggo Mortensen

George Clooney (not as bad as Leo, but I just don't like him)
Jennifer Roberts (ugh)
Nichole Kidman (psycho)
Angelina Jolie (this one is a tossup, she's more of a "love to hate" or "hate to love" one)

Jim Carrey always has been and always will be my favorite actor, even though I tend to not like his more serious roles (The Number 23, The Majestic). I can't wait to see him as Curly in the Three Stooges movie.

Robin Williams was also a big favorite of mine, as well as Rowan Atkinson.

I can't really think of any actors/actresses I dislike, though. Most likely because I've shunned them from existence already.

The thing that I hate about Daniel Radcliffe is his neck. It is the same width as his head ffs.

I can't really think of too many actors I hate. There's Mel Gibson but he's an anti-semetic religious nut so that's easy to hate.

I too like
Depp
Harrison Ford
Jack Nicholson
Michael Caine
Jeff Bridges

Brad Pitt & Bruce Willis are in a lot of my favorite movies.

Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise are both good actors who seem like complete flakes in every interview I've seen.

Can't say I have any actors that I prefer, I rarely even notice if the acting is good or bad.

What I do hate is when the actor overshadows the role he is playing. For example, when you are watching Mission Impossible, do you see the main character as Ethan Hunt or Tom Cruise? That chick from Wanted, is it Fox or Angelina Jolie? When you watched Troy, was that Achilles and Paris or was it Brand and Orlando?

I don't know if this bothers anyone else, it's just that really big name hollywood actors tend to take away as much from the movie as they add :-/

Love:
Johnny Depp
Bruce Willis
Meg Ryan
Mark Wahlberg
Matthew Broderick
Brad Pitt
Damon Waynes

I could probably just keep adding to this list the more I thought about it.

Hate:
Hmmmm... there's been plenty of acting performances I've hated, even from actors I love, but I can't think of anyone I despise as a whole. At least not to an extent I'd avoid thier films. Do dislike Drew Barrymore, but The Wedding Singer is one of my favorite comedies.
Maybe Tom Green. Well, I did like Road Trip, but he wasn't really that great in it.
Oh, probably Will Ferrell too.
Angelina Jolie... meh.

Paris Hilton is not an actress. The few movies she's been in proves that fact.

Tom Cruise
Viggo Mortenson
Liam Neeson
Ian McKellen
Morgan Freeman
Joaquin Phoenix (Amazing in Gladiator.)
Russell Crowe

That's right, you read it correctly. I do rather like Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise. All you have to do is be able to watch movies without allowing the names to get into your head, and look at them as nothing more than characters. All of a sudden, the performances of these people becomes much more developed. For example, Keanu Reeves in "The Day The Earth Stood Still". The way he delivered the lines seemed forced to a lot of people, but taking into consideration the background of his character, then I have to say that they fit rather nicely.

Dislike:
I choose not to allow myself to dislike actors, as it could deter me from seeing a potentially good film.

I wouldn't really say I hate them, that's a bit strong, but I find it very difficult to sit through any movie featuring Owen Wilson, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Broderick... and particularly Will Ferrell. It's probably no coincidence that a couple of them are in films with each other. They seem to stick to one particular kind of film, I guess I'm just not a fan of that sort of thing.

As for those I like... I guess my favourite is Angelina Jolie, though that's probably less to do with her acting skills and more a matter of her other obvious charms. I'm a big fan of Hugh Laurie - he's so good as House that I actually managed to forget he's British, despite having seen him hundreds of times in Blackadder over the years. William Petersen is brilliant, Mark Harmon equally so.
