"Which Console is better" An Empirical answer.

Ok, since fanboy trolls spend so much time flaming on threads anyway, I thought this would be a definitive way to end the conflict.

With Science!

Ok not exactly, it's more of statistics, but hear me out.

1) Define AAA exclusives on the console of your choice, MGS4 for PS3, Halo 3 for Xbox, Mario for Wii etc. What is AAA? Pick and choose your poison.
i) A game that has sold over 1 million copies
ii) A game with a budget of over X
iii) A game with a Metacritic score of over 75

2) When doing cross checking of dueling platforms with multiplatform games, both consoles must have the same game. i.e Batman Arkham Asylum for PS3, Xbox and PC. The difference here will be the Higher Metacritic score minus the Lower Metacritic score. 96-92= +4 to the console for example.

3) Now arrange your competition by time over the past year, years since launch, games since launch, console head on head etc.

Here's the formula.

Add all the Metacritic scores of AAA games within that time period. For example. PS3 games since launch. You'll have RnC, Uncharted, Killzone, MGS4 etc etc.

80+85+90+85+.... = X

then do the same for Xbox since launch.

Now do the calculation for multiplatform games, Assassin's Creed, Batman, Final Fantasy.

97-90 = +7, 85-92 = -7

Combine the results and you get a probably negligible bonus points. Skip this step if you want, or do it if it helps Bush win the election.

THE HIGHER SCORE WINS!

I estimate that this will take about an hour to do if one is serious and exactly 0 people will do it. And 1 million fanboys will continue to troll the forums for the next billion years.

I don't see the point in bitching about which is better, is petty and frankly pointless. Why not just appreciate everything for what it has? Being a fanboy is a bit like being racist, it's stupid. Want a real empirical answer?

Wii is the most popular this generation, has the most revolutionary controller, and has the best way to get retro games legally.

360 has the best online support, slightly superior sound, and a rabid group of followers available.

PS3 has the best blue ray player out there, potentially the best graphics, and apparently the better quality to crap ratio than other game systems for the simple reason that it has less games than the competitor systems.

That is the empirical answer. The subjective answer is really the one you play the most. I use my DS more than my Wii, 360, or PS3, so the answer is the DS.

there is no better console, no matter how many people ***** about it they all have their prefered console or the console their parents bought or simply like me realize that no console is better than the other because it falls back into TASTE
