Which disney movie has the best soundtrack in your opinion?

Tarzan is awesome, it's almost entirely Phil Collins. For the same reason (i.e. the main featured artist is awesome), The Lion King is brilliant. Phil Collins and Elton John FTW

Otherwise, they're all pretty damn good, but I especially love the songs from the second Lion King movie, Aladdin, and Hercules (in particular, Megara's song 'I Won't Say I'm In Love' from the latter)...

Damn it! How am I meant to choose?
From the top of my head I'll have to say either The Little Mermaid or the Lion King, I expect that I'll end up editing this later once I remember other films.

I would say Hercules, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King are the best...

I loved Hercules and he Lion King's soundtrack but I know Hercules can be a bit cheesy and Lion King's is mostly for fans of world music but there are some true classics in the Lion King. I really want to see it on broadway
Tarzan has a good soundtrack but it isn't particularly memorable. With the exception of maybe Hercules, the films I mentioned contain songs that are known almost universally. "A whole new world", "Under the Sea" and "Hakuna Mattata" are simply unforgettable...Zepren said:
Lion King by far. Sure, other films had some very good stuff but the entire Lion King soundtrack is just plain fantastic imo. Although, Hakuna Matata alone would be enough for it to top my fave Disney soundtrack list alone.

I feel your pain. I'm torn three ways between The Lion King, Mulan, and Tarzan...possibly leaning towards that last one, if only because I've been on a binge of the soundtrack recently, and have "Son of Man" and "Always" playing through my head. I will say that I like the lyrical songs better in Tarzan better than the other two, but the orchestrated compositions in the other two better. Not that even that is saying much; I love it all.GodsAndFishes said:
