Shadows because I have a deep respect for people who can pull of a devious plan.
I would be the guy at the end of the game were just when the hero's think that they killed the main bad guy it turns out he was working for someone the whole time. Then one of them (perhaps the main protagonist) would turn around and see me and I would give him a sinister smile and melt away into the shadows... And you wouldn't know who I was until the next sequel.
If that isn't evil enough for you both games would be 65 dollars and they would be released within a year of each other! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ermm.....Ignore this, I tried to quote someone, and it didn't do the quoting....And I can't delete this...Will stop typing now.
I would sneak my way into a position where i'm close to someone with power then i'd make sure he was on his toes at all times, i'd get him paranoid and make sure he knows i'm out to get him and i'd let him feel like the world fell apart around him from his own paranoia and then i'd kill him in his despair to take his place. And once i rise to power i would make sure my troops would trust me and i would make sure they wanted to do their work. I would keep the people "tied up" and make sure they couldn't rebel, by keeping the moral of my army strong, and by instantly crushing down every enemy of my state.

I love this question. I think about it often.
Honestly I would end up a power-mad dictator bent on world domination. Once I achieved power I would be wanting more and more, until I probably ended up with so much I didn't know what to do with it. Then I'd probably search for immortality out of my fear of death, so I can keep my iron grip on the population of earth. I would use anything to gain immortality. I would sacrifice human souls to add their life span on to mine, Get infected by vampires, Turn myself into robot and just constantly upgrade me, or I might unlock the secret of the actual animal...the immortal jelly fish. (LOOK IT UP. IT's Stellar Awesome) Once I achieved immortality I would eventually be able to span my empire across the cosmos picking off alien races one by one until the entire universe was under my dominion. Soon after I would build up enough power to create life and they would worship me as a god. Then I would be content.
Granted that's the plan if everything goes perfect for me.

I'm not interested in enslaving, controlling or personal gain. Me, I would just want to watch the world burn. Blow everything to shit, using giant robots, yeah...
