So, next week, I'm set to get 70Mb broadband, 20Mb up (and yes, I know this translates to 8.75 MB down, 2.25MB up). I've been thinking of doing gameplay capture, preferably live, so I'll need a game capture device. A store near me has the Happauge and Roxio HD in stock, but apart from them, I've heard about the Elgato as well, but I don't think I'll be getting that one because as far as I can see it doesn't do Wii). So which should I get? I have also heard of the USB 3.0 Blackmagic Intensity, but have heard it requires a very specific motherboard, a P55 I think it says...is that strictly P55 only, or P55 and above (I have a P8Z68 Deluxe from Asus).
As for headset and mic, at the moment I have a Turtle Beach PX21 paired with the Turtle Beach DSS2. Should I stick with them or get a better headset and/or a separate mic (if so, I think I would then need a separate device to connect the mic to the game capture, an audio mixer I think they're called, recommendations?)
Thanks.

Hey man,

I've been using the HD PVR 2 for a while now and used the original HD PVR Gaming Edition for even longer, In total i've been using HD PVR's from Hauppauge for well over a year now. They are fantastic bits of kit.
Definitely recommend getting yourself one of those due to it's hardware acceleration it doesn't eat away at all your computers resources like the other capture cards do.

As for your headset, I don't know much about it but I know a lot of the Turtle Beach range use analog inputs, If you buy this product: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003Q958RW/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can fit the HDMI for the HD PVR while still having this cable I linked plugged in which allows your analog to be plugged into the xbox itself as the original component lead is too big for HDMI to be plugged in as well :)

Hauppauge recently released their new software called 'Hauppauge Capture'.
You can see the home screen of the program at the link: http://puu.sh/3zDad or look for further screenshots and information at www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/capture

So many great features are packed into the HD PVR 2 i'd definitely recommend it over all the other capture cards on the market.

Good luck selecting your capture card that is best for you :D
