Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying one of these games:
-DmC: Devil May Cry
-Tomb Raider
-Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
I want to try something new, not just another shooting game. I'm currently on the fence on whether buying DmC or MGRS since i kept hearing good stuff about them. What do you guys think?

They're all good games, but if you're not after another shooter, you probably want to avoid the new Tom Raider :D

I have both DmC and MGR, if I had to pick one, I'd pick MGR.

It's so ridiculously over the top, the boss soundtrack is amazing, and most of all, it doesn't take itself too seriously.

This may be my inner Metal Gear fanboy talking, but i'd say go with MGSR.
It's a fun game with some interesting mechanics, primarily the Blade Mode and Zan-Datsu, it isn't very long, but it has some replay value and the VR missions are neat, the game isn't quite a combo-like game as DmC or Bayonetta, but it's more about quick strikes and retreats.

The story is...not that good, honestly. But it has some great boss fights and some of the characters aren't bad, such as Sam or the support crew.

Buy DmC, it has very nice level design and looks stunning. Personally, I am fan of its immature and cheesy dialogue, what might turn you off. Good combat too.

I think you'd like DmC depending on your history with the other games. If you're a new comer to them, you might enjoy it more.

If you don't like fun and challenging gameplay get Devil may Cry Devil May Cry instead of Revengeance.

Seriously, though, despite the MGS setting I probably enjoyed it even more than Bayonetta. Blocking is pretty easy and the free slicing mechanic is extremely fun. Bosses are well designed and actually test your core abilities. If you like Platinum's other stuff there's really no reason not to pick it up. The only downside of the game is that it's relatively short.

Tomb Raider is pretty much Uncharted with a better cover system. Very solid game (great PC port, too), just don't expect any survival elements or realism.
