Would you care to elaborate on what games you already own/have played? How about the platform you will be playing it on and if it's PC what kinds of games it will be able to handle.

So to list the obvious, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Dead Space. I would also suggest The Witcher(2), Alan Wake, Uncharted and Heavy Rain.

Wait a little bit and get the mass effect trilogy. 63 dollars for all 3 games. Will give you a good 40+ hours of gameplay when you do a single playthrough in each game. Double that if you want to try both a 'good' and a 'bad' character. (Which most people did/do I believe.) Not to mention like...6 different classes to try out. Actually, if you live in the US the trilogy is already out so you can already buy it. For us in the EU it'll be out in the first month of next week (just before Christmas?) I believe.

I would recommend at least updating the games, btw. It might take some time with a crappy internet connection but it is worth it. Especially with 1 and 3, since 1 had some annoying bugs and 3 has the free extended cut ending to download.

Get Darksider 2, it's a cross between DMC and Zelda so there is plenty bang for buck, especially since THQ is going down the crapper and you get it for $20 or less.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a pretty sweet timesink if you like strategic gameplay. I know you said no shooters, but Borderlands 1 and 2 aren't your typical grey-brown military shooter, so it might be worth a look if you're interested.

in the new titles i have played skyrim, (mastered everything, 400 hours in it! :D),darksidersII, spec ops and dishonored, mass effect 3 (didn't like it enough to pay 63 dollars for the rest) im not into FPS genre and im looking for games for pc. i don't care about graphics at all and i want good story telling as well as being engaging. my favorite genres are strategy and RPG. in rpgs i want it to have an open world with alot to do.(dragon age:eek:rigins and skyrim are two examples) in strategy i really like the total war series style of commanding.

If you like open RPGs with lots to do, then there's nothing better than Morrowind, the third Elder Scrolls game. If you thought Skyrim had a lot to do, it's nothing compared to Morrowind, especially once you start modding it.

If you do get Morrowind, you should be warned that it is not for everyone, and it is very difficult to get into. You need to know to expect to find lots of things that you aren't strong enough to face yet (even in seemingly low-level areas), and there will be a limited number of skills you are able to use effectively. Basically, throw out all of your preconceptions of what you should and shouldn't be able to do, and you will probably enjoy it a lot more.

Also, I would highly recommend downloading the Morrowind Overhaul, sounds and graphics 3.0. The main reason I recommend it is not for the excellent graphics additions (although they are really nice), but for the unofficial patches, stability tweaks, and ini edits that come with it in an easy-to install package.
